🏹 Final League Match – Medway vs Allington 🏹

Last Sunday saw Medway take on Allington in our final league match of the season.

On the pure score, it was a closely fought contest, with Medway finishing just 25 points behind Allington. 🎯

However, the handicap result went strongly in Medway’s favour, with the team finishing an impressive 262 points ahead! 👏🏹

A fantastic way to round off our league campaign, with some great shooting from everyone who took part.

A huge well done to all the Medway archers who have represented the club throughout the league season.

We’re sharing this announcement from Invicta Coaching, who will be running a series of coaching sessions this winter.

The dates for the sessions are as follows:
🗓️ Saturday 10th October
🗓️ Saturday 14th November
🗓️ Saturday 5th December

There will be two sessions each day, morning (9am to 12 midday) and afternoon 1pm to 4pm with each session cost £20.00.

The sessions are open to archers of all levels and bow styles, with the coaches working with each archer to help them get the most out of their session.

Invicta Coaching suggest booking a session each month.

🏹 Medway vs Sevenoaks – What a Shoot!
Yesterday we had a fantastic day of archery as medway took on Sevenoaks in a brilliant Kent archery league match 🎯

The atmosphere was friendly, the shooting was great, and there were plenty of laughs along the way. It was one of those shoots where the competition was taken seriously… but the still an element of fun and laughter to be had

A huge well done to everyone who stepped up to the shooting line and gave it their all. Some great scores, some close competition, and most importantly, a fantastic day spent with fellow archers. 👏

On Saturday 13th June, we were delighted to welcome Fox Archers to Medway Archers for our latest Kent Archery League match.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, with some excellent shooting and friendly competition,

We're pleased to share that Medway Archers secured victories in both the Pure Score and Handicap categories on home ground. 🎉

A big thank you to Fox Archers for a great match and for making the trip to join us. Well done to everyone who took part and to all those who helped make the day run so smoothly.

🏹 Kent Archery League 🏹

Last weekend, Medway Archers took on Bowmen of Darenteford Archery Club in a great afternoon of shooting and friendly competition 🎯
The windy conditions — and the sheep watching from the sidelines 🐑 — kept things interesting as Medway took the win on pure score, while Darenteford claimed the handicap victory 👏

With 5 archers representing Medway, there was plenty of strong shooting, great sportsmanship, and an enjoyable day all round!

A big thank you to Darenteford for hosting and for a fantastic match — we look forward to the next one!

🏹 First League Match of the Season on the 11th April 🏹

The wait is over — we kicked off the season with our first league match, and what a start it was!

There’s always something special about that first step back onto the shooting line: a mix of focus, nerves, and excitement as everyone settles into their rhythm.

It was a day full of friendly competition, with a great atmosphere across the field and plenty of encouragement between clubs. A big well done to everyone who took part — and congratulations to Medway for coming out on top against Crown Archers in a closely fought match!

Thank you to all the archers from Crowns who attended — we hope you enjoyed the day.

We’re looking forward to the rest of the season and wish every archer the very best for the months ahead.

Halloween archery shoot summary 🎃🎯

Thank you to everyone who attended the shoot and dressing up, there were some really incredible costumes.

We had some amazing target designs ranging from a skeleton to Frankenstein.
The pumpkin target didn't stand a chance - lots of bits missing 😂
Thank for everyone taking part in the trick or treat cards we think they helped some people but did hinder some others but that's all part of the fun of Halloween

Congratulations to our top shooters and best dressed winners 👏

🎯Saturday 13th September was the last league match of the season, it took place at home against Fox Archers.

While the competition was on point and the scores achieved were incredible, the spirit of this competition was all about encouraging one another while enjoying the last match of the season.

Medway Archers won both the pure score and handicap score.
What a way to wrap up the season!

Now its time to say goodbye to outdoor competitions and say hello to indoor.
We are looking forward to what the next seasons holds.

🎯 League Archer Shoot – What a Day! 🏹

Last Sunday, many of our archers took part in a league shoot against Gravesend Archers.

Well done to everyone who took part in the day, 💪🏽 Whether you were chasing a PB, shooting for your team, or just enjoying the challenge, the energy on the line was brilliant.

After some excellent shooting from all, Medway Archers ended up winning on pure score and handicap, but it was very close with only 19 points between the teams.

👏 Massive thanks to the organisers at Gravesend Archers and a big thank you to Sue for the lovely cakes she baked, they were delicious.
