Last Week’s Runs — 17th to 23rd August 2026

It was a busy and hectic week at work, so I only managed to get out for two runs last week. Both were on Saturday, when I did a 5km warm-up jog before meeting my very good friend Andy from The-Running-Bug (left in the picture), who had travelled down from Leeds to try out one of my local routes of the parkrun 5K locations

So Parkrun was a little different for me this time, as I acted as Andy’s pacer aa he wanted to aim for sub 39 minutes for 5K— with me being on pacer duties for him, he was able to achieve this and secure his fastest 5km of the year!

This week is also looking quite busy at work, so I don’t know how much running I’ll be able to fit in. However, I do have park-run planned again for this weekend. I am hoping to fit in at least another run this week but we will see how the week unfolds.
