🏉 FROME 7s IS BACK! 🏉

We’re delighted to confirm that Somerset Rugby Referees Society will be providing the referees for Frome 7s on Saturday 12th June 2027! 🏃‍♂️💨

It’s fantastic to see this brilliant event return to the rugby calendar, and we’re looking forward to being right at the heart of the action.

🎙️ Tournament Referee Coordinator, Harry Garmston:

“I’m really excited to see Frome 7s back on the calendar. It’s always been a great event and the new concept, focusing purely on social rugby, should make for a brilliant day.

From a refereeing point of view, it gives us a fantastic opportunity to bring a mixture of referees together, give them plenty of game time and allow them to learn and develop throughout the day in a fun, supportive environment.”

Preseason | Seniors

The Frome RFC Seniors welcomed Old Reds II to The Lane yesterday for a preseason warm up fixture ahead of the league campaign.

We caught up with Head Coach, Garrie Webster post match for his comments.

“I’m very happy with the effort the lads put on show. The work rate was excellent, and they put into the game what we’ve been working on in training.

It’s a very young squad, with a large contingent of the players being under 21, and they coped really well against a very well-drilled Old Reds side.

There were plenty of positives to take from the game, and it was a valuable test for the squad as we continue our preparations for the new season.”

A huge thank you to our visitors for a thrilling match, we wish you the best for the upcoming season.
