We run the RYA ‘Onboard’ Youth Sailing Scheme courses on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for local children. These sessions are run by Instructors and parents who volunteer their time which helps us to keep the cours

It was so lovely chatting with the children about the work we do, what Fowey Harbour gets up to, and how my journey first began.
It felt really strange being back in the same classrooms I used to sit in as a pupil, but it was also incredibly special. Being able to tell the children that I started exactly where they are now, and that this is something they can achieve too, was such a full circle moment!

SO MUCH FUN!!
Today we took Fowey Primary School Year 5s out for their sailing day!
There was plenty of sailing, swimming, powerboating, and of course... water fights!
As we come to the end of this year's schools programme, we'd like to say a huge thank you to the Roseland Youth Sailing Trust for funding these incredible experiences for our local children.
These days simply wouldn't be possible without their support. If you're able to, please consider supporting the amazing work they do so even more young people can enjoy opportunities like these.
Just one more week of schools to go... then it's into the holiday chaos!

Next Thursday at 8pm on Channel 5, you may recognise a few of us on the big screen in Cornwall: A Year by the Sea.
Our fantastic OnBoard sailors were filmed for the series, so be sure to keep an eye out!
Returning for a second series, Cornwall: A Year by the Sea follows the people and places that make Cornwall so special, celebrating the communities, traditions and coastal businesses that help shape life by the sea.
