🔧 We’re hiring – Centre Technician

The Nevis Centre is looking for a practical, reliable and hands on person to join our team as a Centre Technician.

This is a varied role helping to keep the Centre running smoothly, including:

🪑 Setting up rooms for meetings, events and activities
🔑 Key Holder duties, including opening and locking up
🛠️ General maintenance and minor repairs
🌿 Keeping the grounds and outside areas tidy
👋 Helping customers, visitors and event organisers
🏢 Making sure the Centre is clean, safe and welcoming

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can use their own initiative and enjoys a role where no two days are quite the same.

The role includes daytime, evening and weekend shifts, so some flexibility is required.

No two days here are quite the same. One day it might be bowling, soft play or community activities; the next we’re getting ready for a packed live music event, wrestling, a festival or a family fun day.

As a local charity, the Nevis Centre is about more than just what happens inside the building. It’s about creating a busy, welcoming place for our community, and we need great people to help us do it.

We’re sorry to announce that bowling at Nevis Centre will be closed on 24th and 25th August due to unavoidable maintenance.

Looking to try something new and become part of a really welcoming team? This is the class for you! Monday and Friday sessions on a pay per class basis or by monthly membership. First class is free.
