Gordon – UK, Jul 4, 2026

"Even better than we expected! Excellent communications prior to meeting. Max and Rob were thoroughly professional and focused on safety and fun. Very good wetsuits, helmets, and flotation devices. Great introduction to white water rafting. Beautiful scenery. We enjoyed it so much we have immediately booked again to take our grandson."

Thinking of visiting Scotland on holiday for the First Time?

It's not all about Haggis, Kilts, Hairy Coos and under-performing football teams (take your pick!!) with the best fans in the world!! There are lots of other things to get excited about as well.

If you're travelling around Scotland, In Your Element and Active Highs have activity experiences popping up all over the place, meaning you can dip your toe in the water (literally) at one place, perhaps fire off an arrow or two at another location, and maybe swing through some trees elsewhere.

Active Highs and In Your Element have activity locations from Loch Tay in Perthshire, Fort William on the west coast, to Inverness on the east and Aviemore in the Cairngorms. Spoilt for choice!

To find out what you can do, where you can do it, and when, look no further. If you're lucky, you might even see a kilt-wearing, haggis-eating football supporter on the back of a hairy coo along the way!

Do You Know The Difference Between Canyoning And Gorge Walking?

We are asked this question regularly. Both canyoning and gorge walking involve navigating a Highland gorge with jumping, swimming and scrambling — and both are brilliant fun. The key difference is abseiling.

If you'd like to learn a bit more about how these two awesome experiences differ, please check out our latest blog post using the link that follows.
