The board of directs can also confirm the strengthening of the board with the appointment of Elaine Buchanan

Elaine is a long-standing supporter of Forfar Athletic and will already be a familiar face to many from her time behind the bar in the 1984 Lounge.

A director and manager at Parkgrove, the club's stadium sponsor, Elaine has also involved in her local community, helping to organise events, and community fundraising in the area.

Joining the board along with Fiona Keith, also brings things full circle. Elaine and Fiona’s paths first crossed through work 20 years ago, and as it turns out, those paths have a way of crossing again.

Elaine is delighted to be joining the club and is looking forward to playing her part, supporting the club and strengthening its connections with the local community.

The board of directors are delighted to announce a further addition to strengthen the current board, with Fiona Keith being appointed.

Fiona Keith, alongside her husband Dave, have a successful office equipment business, DWK office solutions, covering Angus, Perthshire, Fife and Dundee.

Prior to this, Fiona gained a wealth of experience across retail and marketing, so now brings her expertise into her new role.

Fiona also brings extensive experience in organising events and fundraisers within the sporting community, and she is excited to take on the challenges ahead with Forfar Athletic.

Having been a member of the club’s Business and Social Club for the past three seasons, Fiona will already be a familiar face to many, through her regular attendance and support at a number of the club’s social events in recent years.

She is looking forward to becoming even more involved in the many events arranged by the club that are so important for the future, and playing her part in supporting Forfar Athletic FC both on and off the pitch.

New Date for Formartine Tie

The SPFL have confirmed that the ‘Loons’ KDM Evolution group stage clash with Formartine United, which was abandoned after 50 minutes due to Adam Livingstone’s injury on Tuesday past, has been rearranged for Tuesday, September 29th.

The match at the Parkgrove Stadium @ Station Park will have the normal 7.45p.m. kick-off.

Both clubs and the SPFL are aware that Scotland play Switzerland in a Nations Cup tie at the National Stadium that night, but taking both sides' midweek commitments, which include our opponents having two Highland League Wednesday evening fixtures scheduled during the period, it was the only date that was in fact available, prior to the completion of the group stage fixtures of the tournament on October 13th.
