✍🏻🆕 Next New Signings For 2026/27 🆕✍🏻

The club are delighted to announce the next signings who’ve put pen to paper for 26/27. Three players with great experience who will add depth and quality to the side-

James Nuttall-
The former Sellindge skipper joins the club from SE Swans and has already cemented his place into the side. With the ability to play anywhere in the midfield, Nutts has bags of composure and is deadly from set pieces. A player we’ve been after for a while, we’re delighted to have him onboard.

Kane Rolfe-
Back for his second stint at the club, defender Kane Rolfe is a player no side likes to come up against. Strong in a challenge and dangerous in the air, when fit he’s a main stay in any back line. After a season with us in year 2, it’s a pleasure to have the boy back with us.

Chris Richardson-
The club moved swiftly to agree a deal to get former Folkestone United Captain Chris over the line, and in his opening appearances it shows why. Calm on the ball at the back and bringing some real leadership to our back line. Chris is a player every team needs and he’ll be sure to be putting some good numbers for the club this year.

3 massive statement signings for the club, and 3 players we’ve wanted to secure for years. We can’t wait to kick start the season and show the division what we’re about this year. Who knows, might even have another announcement or two soon 👀

✍🏻🆕 Next New Signings For 2026/27 🆕✍🏻

The Pirates are excited to announce our next 4 signings for the upcoming campaign. All 4 players showed interest in signing from the get go and have all settled in well in their first pre season appearances for the club.

Adrian Petrisor-
The Romanian full back joins the club from Dover league side Snowdown United. A versatile player who can play on both flanks, he shows determination, grit and desire every time he plays.

Floryn China-
The Romanian links grow stronger with the signing of Striker Chinta. Capable to score goals from all areas, he’s impressed already this pre season notching up 4 in his 5 outings. A great personality and a player the young guns can learn off of.

Connor MacDonald-
Seasoned midfielder Connor joins us after a spell away in the states. Overseas Connor was a successful youth coach, and on the pitch leads by example. A dynamic midfielder with a wide passing range, the Pirates are delighted to have him tied down for the season.

Leon Frankham-
Lastly for this announcement, Leon joins us from AFC Sellindge. Like a bull in a china shop the lads got bags of energy and is tenacious in a challenge. He’ll run for 90 minutes and offers us lots of work rate and the versatility to play to his strengths.

A fantastic new 4 additions to the team who have all showed their capabilities on the pitch. More signings to come next week, and trust us, some big names involved 👀

✍🏻🆕 New Signings For 2026/27 🆕✍🏻

The Folkestone Pirates are excited to announce our first 4 major signings. Surprisingly all 4 join us from Saltwood, and we’re all part of the Saturday side Treble Winners Elham Valley last season:

Archie Allon-
A new face in the sticks for the Pirates this year, the Elham Valley number 1 picked up 3 trophies last year with an numerous clean sheets throughout season. Calm on the ball and with the ability to play out from the back, Archie’s a great goalkeeper who can pull of big saves to help us win matches.

Rob Westbrook-
Rob is no stranger to the Ashford Sunday League. Scoring goals week in week out for whatever team he plays for, the striker will no definitely add goals to our attack. Rob does actually have a Pirates appearance under his belt back in season 22/23, but this time he’s here for good.

Aaren Carlton-
A well known presence for any team he plays for, Aaren adds much needed experience to the team. A versatile player who can play anywhere he’s asked, the man will no doubt help us to push on for success this year. A no nonsense man who loves a header, our opponents will know they’re in for a battle against him.

Nick Barnes-
Our fourth signing from Saltwood, Barnsey is a player every team needs. Composed on the ball and when under pressure, this man never loses possession. A master of a 3 yard pass and a 35 yard diag, Barnsey’s a player we’ve wanted for a while and our delighted he’s signed for the upcoming campaign.

Four massive signings who had settled in well already with the team, keep your eyes peeled for more in the upcoming days 👀

🔙📋 Retained Squad List 26/27 📋🔙

The club are delighted to release this year’s retained list. A strong 20 man roster from last year stays on with the club as we head into our 6th season. Bill, Shezza, Pidge, Soutar and Jacob all noticeably still standing from our first ever fixture back in 2021. Chuck, Raz and Donnelly all signing half way through last campaign stay on to battle for silverware this year with us. The management team also staying and they lead us into 2026/27.

There were some sad departures last season. Third in the all time goal scoring charts Josiah Hoad left to join Pristine on deadline day and Billy Budd also bid farewell as he join Evans Athletic. Kieran Bartlett too said his goodbyes after 3 seasons and finally Luke Harris hung up his boots too. We would like to wish them well and all the best for their future.

However as we prepare for the upcoming campaign there are some big signings to be announced in the coming weeks, keep your eyes peeled for them 👀

Gaffer Truett Reigns Righteously In Fun Filled Thriller

Pirates Red 🔴 3-6 Pirates Blue 🔵

Manager Tom Truett claimed this years bragging rights after Blue Teams blistering first half saw them race into a 4-1 lead. Red Team made more of a game of it in the second period, however there was too big of a deficit to overturn.

Red Team Captain Charlie Soutar opened the scoring after just 5 minutes placing a shot into the far corner with his weaker foot on the edge of the area, before Blue team started to stamp out their dominance after the goal. The scores were level after a Conor Maclennan throw on evaded Ethan Evans in net, George Chapman claiming he touched it. That was inutes before Harvey Bexon showed great skill to cross for Mafany Nkong to put the Blues a goal up. Dan Hawkes, Ade Kunlee and Jacob Webber in the midfield were on top and creating numerous opportunities for the Blues front 3 as space opened up qu**ky. Down the other end, Archie Allon in the goal made a few smart stops to keep his team ahead. Blues had a 2 goal cushion when Harvey Donnelly tapped home after a mistake at the back, before the first half rout was complete with Harvey Bexon getting on the scoresheet himself.

With 33 Pirates on show throughout the day, some ex, some current and some future stars all playing their part in a great game. Bill Budd had the ball in the back of the net for Red Team, at the start of the second period, only to be denied by the Linesman. Bexon then broke away down the right and slotted past Josh Allon in the opposite goal. With the scores at 5-1, Jordan Spann finally back in a Pirates top, woke up and poked home to make the game interesting with 20 left to play. Reds came close through Floyrin Chinta and New boy Conor Macdonald, but a killer 6th and 3rd of the day for Harvey Bexon wrapped the game up. Reds did continue to push, Tom Hue tucked another consolation away from the edge of the box to half the deficit But as Referee Billy Howard’s whistle went, Blue team came out as winners.

A brilliant showing from the Club in what was certainly an entertaining game for the spectators. With no surprise Harvey Bexon picked up MOTM and writes his name in folklore history. 3 Goals 1 Assist equals Spanner’s record from last year. Beers were sunk on the sidelines as we showed our thanks to some individuals, and chips were ate back at the pub to award winners from last campaign. An excellent way to start Chapter 2 and season 26/27, we look to kick on with our opener against Park Farm Folkestone on Sunday the 4th.

Pirates Vs Pirates 2026/27

The stage is set for tomorrow’s pre season opener it what will be a cracking game. Some big names involved and some boys looking to impress. Lots of hard work behind the scenes to insure tomorrow will be a success, if you’re free please do come entertain yourselves in what promises to be an exciting affair. Season 6.
Chapter 2.
Year 26/27.

Aaaand we’re back.
Apologies for the quiet social scene after what was a tough last campaign in the Premier Division for the boys from Folkestone. However we’ve been planning and preparing hard for the upcoming campaign. Season 25/26 was full of tough moments, wake up calls and lessons learn. But we are determined and committed to making it all worth it this year.

We’re calling this Chapter 2 in the Pirates history, new signings, new management, new kits, new ethos and new beginnings for the Red & Black army.
Lead by Gaffer Tom Truett and Assistant Jarrod Farragher, backed up by Billy Howard and Dan Shez, this year we promise to make this a one to remember.

We kick off our intense Pre-Season with our annual Pirates v Pirates match, bragging rights on the line, gaffers going head to head, old faces making returns, pirates legends back in kit and all importantly, a big game to be win. With new faces coming in and already making marks on the team, we welcome all who want to be a part of this year’s success. Following last week’s postponement, we return home to play host to fellow Premier Division new boys Pristine FC. In what is a big game for both sides, the Pirates have near but all of the squad to choose from. Our opponents come into the game with just 1 win in their previous 8, an opening day win away to Lydd Sunday. However after some close encounters 2 seasons ago when both of us played our trade in Division 2, we know this will be a tough test for us. A chance for our new signings to make their marks on the team, and for the club to build some momentum towards the end of the year. All support to brave the cold at The Stadium is greatly appreciated.

After a week off last weekend, this Sunday sees the Pirates travel over to Aldington for our second game against the village side. Our last encounter on opening day had everything you could want from a football game, tackles, cards, controversy and some delightful finishes. The Pirates lead throughout but were held to a 6-6 draw. This week we look to get another win under our belts in the Premier Division. With some exciting new signings this week, the pirates squad is stacked and some tough decisions to make from the management team. We will do all we can to ensure we leave the village with 3 points, however Aldington themselves have picked up some impressive points so far so we won’t be taken them lightly. All support away at The Reynolds Ground is much appreciated.
