De Lacy Motor Club – October Targa Rally 2026

Over the past two months, the club has been working closely with Landmark and the MOD to secure the use of Catterick Garrison for the October Targa Rally.

However, due to the extreme weather this summer, Landmark closed the ranges to all activities, preventing the Club from accessing the site to carry out essential preparation work for the event.

As a result, there is now insufficient time to organise the event to the standard the Club had planned for October.

Clerk of the Course David Walmsley said “This situation is very unfortunate given the wonderful weather we have had this year, but our working relationship with Landmark continues to grow and we look forward to 2027”

On a positive note, both Landmark and the MOD have agreed to the use of Catterick Garrison in May 2027, with the exact date to be announced in due course.

De Lacy Ta**us 5/6th September 2026 CANCELLED Announcement.

It is with great regret, that the organisers have decided not to proceed with this years event. It is down to many factors, including lack of entries, lack of marshals and other things that became out of the teams control.

We tried hard to put on a top class event, and it was to be the only one in Yorkshire this year, which gave us a real sense of pride. We even had some roads that had not been used before. However, it was not meant to be.

Refunds to competitors will be processed in due course, but you can e.mail the club treasurer with the details of the person who made the payment, so he can match them up. Contact Steve Cowley on: [email protected]

🚨 ENTRIES NOW OPEN — REGULATIONS AVAILABLE! 🚨

We’re pleased to confirm that entries for the 2026 Ta**us Road Rally are now OPEN.

De Lacy Motor Club Ltd will once again be organising and promoting the dual‑permit Navigation Rally, “The Ta**us Navigation Road Rally”, running from Saturday 5th September into Sunday 6th September 2026.

The event is open to fully elected members of De Lacy Motor Club and members of ANCC, ANWCC, ANEMMC, EMAMC affiliated clubs.

Well, the day has finally arrived – the Seven Dales Heritage Run is underway!

We have an incredible 64 entries, and thankfully the rain held off long enough for everyone to get signed on. There's no turning back now!

We hope everyone has a fantastic day out and enjoys the event. Be sure to check back over the next few days, as we'll be sharing plenty of action photos from around the route.

A massive thank you to Breighton Airfield for hosting the start, and to all the organisers, marshals, and volunteers who have helped make the event possible.

You should all be well underway with car prep for the De Lacy Catterick Targa Rally 2026, but as many of you have noticed, the event isn’t running on its usual July date. We’ve had a lot of people asking whether the De Lacy Targa is happening this year, and the answer is yes (hopefully) just later than normal.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t secure a July date this year. As many of you will appreciate, working with Landmark to access MOD land can be challenging, and operational activities must always take priority, something we completely understand and respect.

The good news? We’re very close to agreeing a date in October 2026. So keep those cars ready, but more importantly, like and follow this page to stay up to date with all the latest announcements.
