A Level Grades in isolation are only a tiny part of future career success!!
According to Forbes Magazine research paper co-authored by Nobel Prize-winning economist James Heckman found that personality is one of the most important predictors of success. Grades capture personality traits like perseverance, diligence and self-discipline, three helpful traits that can lead to success. On the other hand, IQ alone only accounts for 1% to 2% of income differences.
As someone Coaching Leadership clients from Large organisations and much smaller SME's all the time with varying Academic start points I can concur.

A- Level Results
Disappointing A level results do not define the success or failure of a future career . Often it is the enforced inventiveness / Creative thinking as a result of not getting what you need that rewards in the end . Talking to an impartial Career coach as Leaders in business do when faced with complicated turning points can help .
