We had an excelente day of football yesterday inspired by Barcelona and Spain winger Lamine Yamal! Morning sessions focused on providing creativity in the final third to assist or score. Players particularly enjoyed fulfilling the wide player roles within the practices and demonstrated brilliant decision making as to when to pass, dribble or shoot!
Our afternoon La Liga tournament hosted Athletic Club Bilbao, Yamal’s Barcelona, Real Sociedad and Villarreal in muy bien Whiteley sunshine! The high quality of football on show combined with the positive spirit displayed by all players made this a very fitting finale for our Summer Soccer Schools! Thank you to all players that attended for contributing to an incredibly productive day of football!
We would like to wish all players an enjoyable start to their new school year groups. It has been a very entertaining summer with many memorable moments and we are looking forward to seeing everybody again during October Half Term! Details for these will be distributed in the very near future, see you then!

Sensational performances from the RYG GK Union today! Morning sessions were inspired by the much requested Southampton goalkeeper Daniel Peretz! Session 1 consisted of a series of fast moving general handling and shot stopping practices, concluding with goalie wars! Players utilised different catching techniques depending on the height of the ball and were required to respond sharply to potential deflections with cones used to replicate facing a shot through a crowded penalty area!
Session 2 consisted of several dynamic and entertaining multi ball finishing practices! This enabled players to receive additional repetition to test their goalkeeping skills, but there was also an emphasis on developing finishing technique in a variety of situations such as cutbacks, 1 v 1s and volleys! Players enjoyed the competitive element which produced some sublime saves and fantastic finishes! Our afternoon tournament saw Birmingham City, Lincoln City, Portsmouth and Southampton contesting for the Championship title!
We are looking forward to the excitement continuing tomorrow! Our player inspiration is somebody that contributed 4 assists and 6 goals in last season’s Champions League. He is known for his 1 v 1 dribbling flair and productivity in the final third! He also scored against Saudi Arabia at the World Cup and has only represented one club as a professional player! Fantastic start to our week with a day inspired by Manchester United and England attacking midfielder Ella Toone! Players were encouraged to locate space in midfield areas in order to receive the ball on the half turn and help their team counter attack quickly. Morning sessions enabled players to experience plenty of repetition in receiving and passing with both feet over varying distances!
Our afternoon tournament adopted a Women’s Super League format with Birmingham City, Charlton Athletic, London City and Tottenham Hotspur selected for the occasion! Many bonus points were awarded for values and for principles, with great receiving skills and innovative combination play being observed across both pitches! Prior to this our lunchtime quiz produced 10 thought provoking questions with highly impressive knowledge being demonstrated by all teams contesting for the valuable additional three points!
Tomorrow we will be inspired by a top goalkeeper that has played club football in England, Germany and Israel! He currently plays in the Championship for a team fairly local to our venue! He is also known for his shot stopping ability and quick reflexes! See you in the morning! 🔴⚪️⚽️

We are greatly looking forward to Week 4 of our Summer Soccer Schools! Tomorrow we will be inspired by a player that is well known for her ability to receive the ball on the half turn and drive forwards! Her club finished 4th in the WSL last season and she has scored 24 goals for her country at senior level! See you tomorrow! 🔴⚽️

I wonder who our first player inspiration will be next week?! There have been some brilliant suggestions in the player feedback received over the last few weeks!

A superb day of football inspired by Atlético Madrid and Argentina forward Julián Alvarez! Players enjoyed morning sessions focused on attacking quickly and finishing clinically! There were lots of 1 v 1, 2 v 1 and 2 v 2 situations with players demonstrating great decision making in choosing whether to pass, dribble or shoot.
Our afternoon Copa América tournament produced a plethora of thrilling matches with all players continuing to attack quickly and finish clinically! An incredible 7-5 at Estádio Ethan and a captivating 6-6 at Estádio Jim were particular highlights! Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Venezuela put on a show with a variety of finishing techniques from Alvarez Bingo being successfully utilised and therefore rewarded with valuable bonus points!
We would like to thank all players in attendance this week for their focused approach and impressive energy levels! We are looking forward to the footballing entertainment continuing next week at Week 4 of our Summer Soccer Schools! See you then!

We were treated to a spectacular masterclass in respect, positivity and studiousness today! Players enjoyed morning sessions inspired by Germany and Brighton’s Pascal Groß! Our objective being to use different types of combination play to create chances, which was emphatically achieved!
Our afternoon tournament was a UEFA Conference League format with Atalanta, Brighton and Shamrock Rovers showcasing high quality combination play across their respective fixture lists! It will be interesting to see how these clubs perform in the play-offs taking place tomorrow evening, with the corresponding second legs being next Thursday! Well done to all players in attendance today for their tremendous energy and enthusiasm - brilliant work.
Tomorrow’s player inspiration has featured for clubs in 🇪🇸, 🏴 and 🇦🇷. He has won the top league in two of these three countries and has also been triumphant at international level in the Copa América on two occasions (2021 and 2024). He wears number 19 for his club and has scored 15 goals for his country to date! See you in the morning! ⚽️

Plenty of creativity showcased today as players enjoyed morning sessions inspired by Arsenal and England’s Bukayo Saka! Our focus was to utilise speed and skill in 1 v 1 situations in order to score goals. There were many fantastic tricks executed throughout the day with clinical finishing to match!
The Premier League made a slightly earlier return than previously scheduled with AFC Bournemouth, Coventry City, Crystal Palace and Liverpool applying themselves brilliantly! All four teams contributed to a highly entertaining fixture list and some astutely worked goals! An epic, end to end 4-4 draw was a particularly memorable highlight!
We look forward to the footballing excitement continuing tomorrow! We will be inspired by a player that is now in their second spell at their present club and who has represented four German clubs at first team level! His father has also played for Karlsruher SC and his current team is based in Sussex! See you tomorrow! 🇩🇪 ⚽️🔵⚪️

We are very excited for Week 3 of our Summer Soccer Schools to commence tomorrow! We will be inspired by a player that is well known for their 1 v 1 dribbling skills and scored a hat trick at the World Cup! He is also a Premier League winner and has achieved more than 50 caps for his country at the age of 24! See you tomorrow! ⚽️

Yesterday we took a trip to Munich for an Aleksandar Pavlović inspired day! Morning sessions focused on breaking lines with forward passes and utilising receiving skills in order to achieve this. Players performed absolutely superbly in very warm temperatures! Frequent hydration breaks and tactical discussions in shaded areas took place between blocks to ensure everybody’s activity levels were appropriately managed.
Alongside a high standard of play, players also demonstrated excellent German language skills in practicing everyday greetings as well as vitally important phrases such as stating their favourite football team! Liverpool, Manchester United, Napoli and PSG brought wonderful flair and enthusiasm to our afternoon Champions League tournament! We would like to thank and congratulate all players that attended this week for their tremendous team spirit and performance.
We are looking forward to Week 3 of our Summer Soccer Schools on Tuesday 18th August, Wednesday 19th August and Thursday 20th August! We do have some places available on all three dates currently and the forecast is looking cooler for next week which is great. See you then!
