Diving, marine life, and cameras… a recipe for a great weekend.

We were treated to fantastic conditions for our underwater photography workshop with Martin Stevens, making it the perfect opportunity to practise, learn, and capture the incredible marine life we have here in Cornwall.

One of the best parts of weekends like this is spending time with like minded people who all share the same passion for diving and the underwater world.

Thanks to everyone who joined us, we’re already looking forward to the next one!

A small navigation tip for new divers.

Always orientate yourself with the position of the sun before your dive. It can be a great backup navigation aid if all else fails, but remember that its position and direction change depending on where you are in the world.

We’d been recommended this dive site a few times and finally got the chance to check it out.

One of the best things about scuba diving is being able to explore places that most people will never get to see. Every dive is a new adventure, and this one definitely didn’t disappoint.

Sometimes it’s the simplest skills that get overlooked.

After a long break from diving, skill fade is completely normal. That’s why repetition is so important during diver training. Something as simple as correctly securing your cylinder can make the difference between a comfortable, enjoyable dive and a frustrating one.

Take the time to slow down, practise the basics, and build good habits. The fundamentals are the foundation of every great diver.
