Aston Villa’s Cornwall Lions Supporters Club Cornwall Lions is the only official Aston Villa Supporters Club in Cornwall

We are a non profit community organisation and all money raised from membership and travel goes back into the club to subsidise travel. During the Covid lockdown Dave created online Q&As with 5 club legends (Tony Daley, Shaun Teale, Dennis Mortimer, Tony Morley and Ken McNaught) to raise spirits for fans not being able to get to games and most importantly raised £800 for the NHS Ride for Heroes Campaign in Cornwall, Villa Foundation and Former Players Club. In November 21, we hosted a charity fundraiser with Villa legends Brian Little and Allan Evans and raised £1800 for the Villa Foundation and Childrens Hospice SW. Since we have hosted Dennis Mortimer, Tony Morley, Sid Cowans, Phil King, Kenny Swain and Tony Daley. We have raised a staggering £7,655 so far for charity, including £5,355 for the Villa Foundation. Cornwall Lions members travelled to Spurs away for our first win of the season last Saturday! Manzambi’s first goal for Villa started the celebrations off with Jackson and Buendia adding to the score line to make it 3-2. Great win and now for an international break where we can look forward to hosting Andy Townsend on 3rd October. UTV!

What a trip! 🦁💜💙

A few of our Cornwall Lions members made the journey to Salzburg for the Super Cup Final, travelling from Newquay via Düsseldorf, Munich and Zurich! ✈️🇦🇹

It wasn’t the result we wanted, but what a performance from the boys! And what a night for Brian Madjo - becoming the youngest player ever to start in the Super Cup AND the youngest ever goalscorer!

On Sunday 26th July, the Cornwall Lions swapped the terraces for the pitch as we headed to Brookvale Academy for a fantastic 5-a-side tournament.

🔴⚫️ Donning our famous red and black LUKE 1977 Cornwall Lions kits, we were proud to represent Cornwall alongside 12 Lions Clubs from around the country, with the teams split into two groups of six.

There were plenty of laughs, banter and some questionable football along the way! 😂⚽️ But, as always, it was all about getting together, having a great day and representing Aston Villa FC. There may have been some refreshments around Broad Street too! 🍻

Most importantly, the tournament was raising money for a fantastic cause, with the entry fees helping the Aston Villa Foundation raise an incredible £2000.

⚽️ Bodymoor Heath Lions Club Open Day ⚽️

Dave Wickes, James Anthony, James Carter and Leigh Robinson were lucky enough to make the journey to the Midlands for what turned out to be a truly fantastic experience. From exploring the impressive facilities to enjoying a good old kick about, the day was one to remember.

It was a great opportunity to see behind the scenes, meet some wonderful people, and create lasting memories.

As our club continues to grow, it's important that we keep evolving and strengthening our committee to support everything we do.
Today, we're delighted to welcome back a true Cornwall Lions legend.

An original committee member and our first-ever Hall of Famer, Paul Riley has been a tremendous supporter of the club for over 5½ years. From events and home and away games to European trips, Paul has always been a fantastic ambassador for Cornwall Lions.

So, we’ve come to the end of another unforgettable season… and what a season it has been! 🟣🔵

After the opening five games, not many would have predicted what was to come, but this team has given us memories that will last a lifetime. Highlights included victories over every side that finished above us, signing off the league campaign with a superb double over Man City, securing another Top 4 finish, and qualifying for Champions League and European football for the fourth consecutive season — an incredible achievement in itself.

But the standout moment has to be Istanbul. Bringing home our first European trophy in 44 years was truly special and something every Villa fan will cherish forever 🏆🇹🇷

Some of our members made the journey to Turkey to witness history first-hand, while others stayed closer to home and enjoyed a fantastic watch along in Hayle. Whether in Istanbul or Hayle, the atmosphere, celebrations, and shared memories made it a night none of us will ever forget.

Thank you to everyone who travelled, attended events, supported the club, and represented our supporters group throughout the season. We’re already counting down to next year — but for now, we can still enjoy watching our Villa players competing on the world stage at the World Cup.

What a season. What a club. Up The Villa! 💜💙

What a result. Champions League football guaranteed for next season, all eyes on Istanbul and taking a winning momentum with us. On another note we remember our Holte Enders in the Sky. Cornwall Lions member Dave Hyslop and on a personal level Gary Rouse who I (Liam) had a season ticket with when I was a young teenager. UTV HEITS!
