It felt really lovely being back in The Tranquil Space today delivering a guided meditation session to a lovely mum and daughter. 💕
Just the two of them, taking some time out together to slow down, switch off and just be.
Meditation was where it all started for me and I used to run small group classes from my wee garden studio on a weekly basis.
If this is something you’d be interested in seeing again, let me know:

The space in the pause allows for stillness.
And within this stillness there is an opportunity to notice what gets lost in all the doing.
Let me hold that space for you. 💞
Our next Rest & Restore session is on Friday 4th September from 7-8.30pm at Yoga Flow Studio
Spaces are already starting to fill up, so if you’d like to join us, click the link in my stories or pop me a message and I’ll send the booking link to you.

Restorative yoga offers you the place to just be.
By using an abundance of props such as blankets, blocks, straps, eye coverings etc, you will be guided through a series of postures which are held for an extended period of time to support, open and guide the body towards a place of complete relaxation without straining or stretching.
Ending with a short meditation or yoga nidra to leave you feeling fully rested, deeply relaxed and truly restored.
No experience of yoga is necessary, just a willingness to rest is enough.
Our next session takes place on Friday 7th August at 7pm in Yoga Flow Studio and the exchange is £16.
Spaces are beginning to fill up, so if you’d like to join us, let me know and I’ll send you the link to book in.

Summer Solstice 🌅🌊
I had this idea of arranging midlife meet ups for women, and last night some of us came together to celebrate the summer solstice.
We’re just a group of women who spend our days showing up for everyone else and we’ve decided that we should start to show up for ourselves too.
Maybe you feel the pull to do something just for you too. If so, you’re welcome to join us.
If you like to meet other like minded women, enjoy a blether and a bit of banter, you’ve come to the right place.
Let me know if you’d like some more details in how you can join our monthly meet ups.

I don’t know about you but I’m exhausted watching what people track these days. 🫣
So, this is your monthly invitation to switch off your phone and come and lie the f**k down for a while. ☺️
Our next Rest & Restore is happening on Friday 3rd July, 7-8.30pm.
I’ll share the link in my stories if you want to join us (or message me and I’ll send you a DM).

Hey Midlife Women of Forth Valley 👋
Wanna join our monthly meet up and have some fun?
We’ve got lots planned for the next few months.
In fact, we’ve got so many ideas, we’ll be meeting for years to come. 😍
So far we’ve enjoyed a walk in nature.
In June we are exploring Inchmaholme island and an outdoor meditation/dip/sauna to celebrate summer solstice.
In July we’re having a yoga and book swap event and Charlene from is going to guide us through a bookmark crochet session.
If you fancy joining us, pop a comment below and I’ll send you some more info.

Do you ever feel like we’re all just watching life through a screen?
Saving things we’ll maybe do one day.
Liking things we wish we had time for.
A couple of things happened to me in March , that made me go right, let’s actually go and do them!
And I’m hoping that you fancy doing them with me. 🙌
I’ve had this idea for months now and I reckon it’s time to try it and see where it lands.
I’m creating a WhatsApp group for midlife women who want to meet up, try new things, and enjoy life away from screens - no pressure, no expectations.
Just good company, some time out, have a few laughs, meet like minded women.
I’m thinking:
Walks in nature
Wild swimming
SUP
Pottery / craft events
Day dancing
Beach & BBQ days
Coffe & Chats
Cinema trips
I’d also love to hear any other ideas you have.
✨£2/month to cover admin fees. Additional costs may apply to cover some events.
✨Monthly meet-ups (will be held on a Wednesday evening, Friday evening, Saturday or Sunday depending on the activity)
✨Come along to whatever feels right for you. ✨Come alone and leave with friends.
I posted this on my stories yesterday and so far we have nearly 40 women interested in meeting up. 🥰
Let me know if this is something that you would be interested in.

On the weekend of the Spring Equinox, I hosted a Yoga Retreat. Just four women and myself and we had the best time.
If you fancy going on retreat, remember bigger doesn’t always necessarily mean better, and sometimes smaller gatherings offer more space:
More space to be seen
More space to be heard
More space to connect
More space to just be
Over the weekend we moved slowly through our yoga sessions.
We took some walks in nature, enjoying the Spring sunshine on our faces.
We journaled, shared stories, pulled cards, reflected and most importantly - rested. Truly rested.
No-one felt the urge to check their phones, but instead made space for naps, reading or chatting.
There was early nights and slow mornings
The kind of pace that we don’t often give ourselves at home.
And then as if the weekend couldn’t get any better, we even caught a glimpse of the Northern Lights.
Standing in a field in our jammies on a Saturday night in awe. A moment to remember for sure.
Small retreats mean:
A deeper connection (with yourself and each other)
A sense of space to open up, or not - both are welcome
A slower, more nourishing pace
A feeling that you’re part of something sacred
The weekend felt like a gentle turning point. A time of transformation.
A quiet emergence into spring 🌱🌷
If you feel the call to join us next time, I’d love to share the space with you.
