Fantastic day yesterday at Allandale Bowling Club for the Bonny Travel Open Triples. Plenty of clubs represented and a fantastic day had by all.

Thank you to Sharon and Steven Anderson (Bonny Travel) for sponsoring the tournament, and to all the players and volunteers who contributed on the day.

Congratulations to the winners from Banton and Kelvinhead Bowling Club, Stevie Walker, Derek Walker and Alexander MacDonald.

A message from Malcolm Warham following the success of the Community Pop Up Cafe:

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members and people from the local area who came to support the community cafe last week at ABC, either by enjoying some freshly prepared food and the lovely sunny weather or those who volunteered to help out with the smooth running of this pop up charity venture.

I thouroughly enjoyed the experience of the ABC community cafe, by bringing people of all ages together, from a ten day old baby to a 92 year old lady who spent her childhood in Allandale.

I would like to thank the committee for allowing me to run this fundraiser. Thanks again."

The Open Pairs Sponsored by Thomas Cuthell & Sons takes place this Sunday, 2nd August at Allandale Bowling Club from 9am.

We have a few spaces available, entry is £10 per team. Food will be available in the morning and at lunchtime at minimum cost.

It's the final day of the Allandale BC Pop Up Community Cafe hosted by chef Malcolm Warham, open from 1000 to 1.30pm.

Thank you to everyone who has came along so far, why not try it out today for yourselves.
