LED Active Communities

Recently we've been taking our health checks into schools across the district, to support the amazing teachers and staff who work so hard for our communities.

The response has been fantastic, and we're delighted to hear how valuable these sessions have been.

Here's what Ottery St Mary Primary School had to say:

"We were delighted to welcome the team from LED into our school to offer free health checks to school staff. How lucky were we to have this opportunity for a free confidential consultation, in our place of work. The team who attended our school were so professional, and explained the results of the health check thoroughly and sensitively. They were also able to give us some invaluable nutrition advice and pointers as to how to exercise more effectively. We would love to welcome the team back again in the not too distant future."

Jenny and Emily Headsup have had the pleasure of working alongside two wonderful groups of children at Littletown Primary School throughout the year 🟢🟢🟢

Today marked their final session before the summer break, and what a lovely send-off it was! The children enjoyed fun relay races in the sunshine before being presented with their well-deserved Certificates of Achievement by Jenny and Emily. 🏆

A huge well done to every child for their enthusiasm, effort, and progress this year. We hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing summer, and we look forward to seeing what the new school year brings! 🌟🏅

Last week Littleham C of E Primary School competed their “Swim To The Sea” training block with Lizzie and Ruthy.

Despite the unusually warmer weather, the children were all brilliant, and the sea conditions were ideal 🌊🏊🏻☀️

At the end of the session, everyone was very pleased to see Jane in her “green team” tshirt, carrying ice lollies for all!

Last week, we popped over to Cranbrook Education Campus to see how Connie, Hannah, and the girls have been getting on.

We were blown away by the enthusiasm and engagement from all of the students, especially during what quickly became a highly competitive and challenging game of bench ball!

When we checked in to see how the girls had found the sessions, the feedback was exceptional. It was fantastic to hear how much they have enjoyed taking part and that they are all keen to continue the sessions in the Autumn term 🍂

Last week, Laura caught up with Cheryl and Rachel (Headsup) in Exmouth, who work with two wonderful groups of pupils from The Beacon Primary School.

It was a pleasure to see how much fun everyone was having and to hear how inspired the children have been by their weekly visits to LED Exmouth Leisure Centre

After the session, we asked the children which character from Inside Out they identified with most. We were delighted to hear so many of them choose Joy! 😁☺️

It has been wonderful to see the confidence and enthusiasm these sessions have brought the children throughout the school year, and we're proud to be part of their journey. 💚
