Joanna Mardon School of Dance The Joanna Mardon School of Dance is celebrating 32 years of success, catering for children from 3 to 18 years of age.

The Joanna Mardon School of Dance offer classes in Ballet, Tap, Freestyle Jazz, Acrobatic Arts and Contemporary in Exeter with teachers who follow an ethos of fun and enjoyment. We offer classes in Ballet, Tap and Freestyle Jazz/Street, Acrobatic Arts, Contemporary dance for children and adult Zumba. Our teachers follow an ethos of fun and enjoyment which we feel are the key elements to the success of the school, together with a structured teaching policy enabling the potential of all pupils to be recognised. We have an excellent record of examination results in all disciplines. The exams are optional but encouraged enabling a sense of achievement to be gained. Our students attend their dance classes at Clyst Heath Primary School & St. Lawrence Church Hall, both in Exeter, Devon. Parents do not attend on a weekly basis but are invited regularly to observe their child’s progress. All abilities are welcome, boys and girls. We are registered with the Royal Academy of Dance and the International Dance Teachers Association.

Congratulations to Jessica!

Jessica has achieved an outstanding success in the Young Writers' Stranger Saga short story competition, being selected as one of just five winners nationwide from over 13,000 entries.

This incredible achievement showcases her talent, creativity, and dedication to writing. We are incredibly proud of her and look forward to seeing what she accomplishes next!

From a Devon classroom to the world stage in Singapore. 🏎️🌍

Six students from Colyton Grammar School have been crowned UK Development Class National Champions in STEM Racing — earning them the chance to represent the UK at the 2026 World Finals.

And this isn't just about making a miniature car go fast. Their creation features a three-element front wing, while the team also has to demonstrate its skills in engineering, design, enterprise and project management. They even picked up the Fastest Car and Best Verbal Presentation awards on their way to the national title.

Now they'll face more than 90 teams from 34 countries on Sentosa Island alongside the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. From Colyton to Singapore — how far can these Devon students go?

A lovely evening with some of our senior students celebrating the end of an era for some going off to uni and achieving their Grade 8 / Intermediate Ballet examinations. Well done to you all.
