When you get up early sometimes you see something special, like this fox family in a neighbour's garden!

The summer holidays are here! I'm still running Early Morning Club and then Mini-Yogis at Garland@The Birdhouse CIC, though tomorrow is the final class until September at Kiva & Zen Yoga & Holistic Healing Rooms Topsham Exeter.

School's out! 🀘

It's Wednesday again! And it is full of wonderful things:

I started with Early Morning Club in the cool and the quiet. Now at my weekly stop for coffee and a morning bun at .exeter while I plan for the New Moon Circle I am facilitating this afternoon for Emma βš”οΈShame-slayer & ND truth-teller for mums done playing nice. Then off to the park for Mini-Yogis at Garland@The Birdhouse CIC and this evening I have my small group Yoga class at Kiva & Zen Yoga & Holistic Healing Rooms Topsham Exeter.

If you're coming to any of these then I will see you soon!

I've got mats, I've got Yoga, I've got stickers (vitally important), so come to the park with your Mini-Yogi for an adventure! 10am. See you there # # #

This is the Pranayama that my teacher gave me for the end of my current morning practice. It's a single technique with a single ratio repeated for 32 breaths. It's simple and not especially demanding, which means that the hard work is all with the mind, the flow, the continuity of focus.

I'm finding it so hard! I'm used to working on developing techniques, ratios and breath length, with a vinyasa that works up to a peak and steps back down again - demanding my focus in a way that this does not. My mind is desperate to avoid it, both before it happens (I definitely don't have time this morning πŸ˜†) and to escape during.

It is a real test of Abhyasa - the effort to remain there. With the moment. Not with external stimulus. Not with my thoughts, with what's coming up or what's been happening...

Thanks to for this frustrating challenge!

These windmills always make me happy! Hopefully there will be a nice breeze tomorrow for Mini-Yogis. Come and play before the day gets too hot - find me at from 10-10.30 a.m. # # #

I may not have managed to sort out posters or flyers in time, but I do have these new interlocking mats for my Mini-Yogi sessions, woohoo!

This Wednesday will be their first outing and I can't wait. Bring your Mini-Yogi along to the Garland@The Birdhouse CIC in Pinces Gardens for 10am this Wednesday and every Wednesday with a couple of exceptions across the summer.

I'm also running a free session at Love St Thomas Summer Festival on Saturday at 2pm, see you under the trees 🌳

Yes, today was hot. Very hot. But I had the pleasure of bookending it with Early morning club first thing in the cool and my evening group at Kiva & Zen Yoga & Holistic Healing Rooms Topsham Exeter in the air conditioning, which felt amazing! Stepping outside afterwards was like stepping off a plane in a hot country though πŸ˜†πŸ₯΅

I still have space in both of these sessions at the moment so if you want to move your body, boost your state of mind and avoid the heat of the day then why not come and have a go? What's stopping you?

See you next week?

Mini Yogis is back! I'll be running Park Yoga sessions next to Garland@The Birdhouse CIC on Wednesday mornings at 10am from the 1st July until the end of August. Bring your little ones! Grab something delicious to eat and drink whilst I keep them entertained for half an hour...

Primarily designed for preschool / EYFS these sessions are suitable for children that are a little younger or a little older - last year I had children from the ages of 2 to 8; I enjoyed it so much and can't wait do it all again.

This year I am hoping to purchase some matting to use, but it will still be helpful for you to bring a blanket or towel for lying down on or getting snuggly if the weather is a bit cold.

Sessions are weather-dependent and may be cancelled if it is raining. No booking required, just contactless payment on the day.

I'll also be hosting a FREE session at Love St Thomas Summer Festival on Saturday 4th July, see you there?
