With weather like this, all training is cancelled this week 😢.
Missing a training session won’t ruin your dog’s flyball journey. But training in this heat could end it.

What a weekend!
Racing at the venue where we made our debut 3 years ago. A lot has changed in that time.

Our team were absolutely fabulous this weekend, managing to come away with a third place to mark the occasion.

Both dogs and humans worked incredibly hard over the day’s racing. There were some really good close 5 leg races, which we managed to come out on top.

But the way the team worked together was the real result. Everyone pulling together for the same goal. Every decision fully supported with enthusiasm. Flyball is a team game, and the spirit in this team is strong.
Sometimes racing doesn’t always go according to plan. And changes to the line up of dogs, or the position they run in are necessary. And sometimes we haven’t practiced that formation. But these guys took it all in their stride.

Dozer showed us the results of all his hard work in training. He stayed in his lane all day and is on his way to becoming the dog we know he can be.

Blue made his open debut and was so reliable and unfazed by the open ring.

Smudge had his struggles today, but he gave it his all and actually had the best box turn on the team.

Digger was faultless. Running for a different handler and absolutely smashed it. He is showing us what he is capable of when not in “spaniel” mode!

Bertie, the old man of the team. The reliable veteran who can run any position, crossing with any dog.

And Finally, Hunter. Another ultra reliable veteran run by our captain. He just delivers, every single run.

Now we take a little rest, and start working on some things in time for our next competition.

Race day!

Today we are hitting the racing lanes with our dogs Dozer, Smudge, Bertie, Digger, Hunter and Blue.

Blue is making his open debut today. Let’s hope all that training pays off.

This week, as we prepare for our next competition this weekend, our dogs have been working hard on their crosses.

Getting as close as possible to each other on the start line helps to give the team a quicker overall time. But it takes accurate timing from their handlers and the more confident the dog, the closer they can push.

As you can see, they have been getting pretty close. Will they be able to replicate this in the pressure of the racing ring?

We would like to introduce you to the newest member of the Isca Flyball family.

Meet little Rory born to our members Jake & Zoe, along with furry sister Poppy.
Poppy is loving the new addition and we can tell they will have a very strong bond ❤️

Will his first word be “Poppy ready, Box”?

Last training before our next competition at Kennets this weekend. The dogs were clearly enjoying themselves 😍

Everyone here at Isca would like to congratulate Two Bridges Flyball on hosting the first flyball competition in Devon.
And a special shout to Lenni for your support this morning.

With this competition being right in our doorstep, we thought our dogs would be better able to shine. Turns out that travelling to competitions is better, as all 3 of our teams seemed to have forgotten what they were supposed to be doing. But they did all show signs of improvement as the day went on, Especially the warriors who ran faultlessly in the afternoon, even taking a leg off the fastest team in the division.
