Think Pilates isn’t for men? Think again.
Reformer Pilates is a great complement to lifting, running and other sports because it works on the things that can often get overlooked: core strength, hip stability, mobility, balance and control.
The spring resistance makes it deceptively hard, especially because the goal is control, not speed. Most first-timers are surprised by how much their legs, glutes and core work, and how much focus it requires. It’s also a low-impact way to build strength, without putting the same impact on your joints as some other forms of training.
At FC Pilates, our small group classes are suitable for all levels, with exercises adapted and progressed to suit you.
We’ve taken a closer look at why more men are discovering Reformer Pilates, what to expect from a class and how it can support your other training in our latest blog.
