Final Worlds’ Update. We finished 8th which was lower than we hoped but I’d say exactly what we deserved in the end. Great to play with different people from Switzerland, Austria, France, Germany, Hong Kong and play teams from Canada, America, Singapore, Italy and even Britain! Thanks to for lending us Jo!!! ❤️🥰

Today we lost our quarter final against Surly 15-7 and then our follow up game against Clapham 14-11. Not the results we wanted but that’s how it goes sometimes! Tomorrow we play for 7/8.

Quiet shout out to Oliver Benjamin of and Epsom’s deeply reluctant future open coach JJ for their victory for Clapham.

I gave a Surly player a Dan's Beer Run cap just to spread the word to America and also made poor JJ a pink DBR top. Even on bad days you need to smile! 😬🥰

Today we had two games and needed to win our crossover game to get into the quarters. After winning our first game well we went into the crossover to play the team from Australia. The picture tells you the rest. A great day and onto the quarter final tomorrow against the reigning champions Surly. Can’t wait. Thanks for all the messages. They’re awesome!

Yesterday’s games for Alex, James and I weren’t as successful as our opening day’s game. 15-8 loss to reigning champions Surly from America and 15-13 loss to NSOM who are Canadian champions. Some good moments but couldn’t see the second game out. We need to regroup and win our next three to make quarters. 👊🏻💪🏻

We went to the pub to watch the football to cheer ourselves up and got to watch the penalty shoot out with some Mexican players. All of us united in supporting Paraguay. 🤣 Tournaments like these are great ways to meet people from all across the world. Even in the tough days we get to have a lot of fun. 🌍🥰

Well done to the other Epsom players out here who are pushing along as well. Great to see so many players here enjoying it.

The Epsom coaches were playing for Zimmer today at the World Masters Championships in Nottingham. Alex, James and myself took to the field against Bologna for our first game with a special guest player Jo from . We have a great link with Cognac having taken the kids to play there last year and we love Jo so much. It’s amazing to finally play with him. Really great. We took the game 15-3 and tomorrow we have two games against Surly from America (reigning champs) and NSOM from Canada. Be a tough but very exciting day. 🥳💪🏻

Friday session in the baking heat. World championships a day or two away. Juniors and great grand masters on the same pitch. Got to love the unintentional Epsom Friday vibe! Who knew these evenings would be so good when we set them up back in those cold winter days. 😎🥳

Today we took on the heatwave and due to a combination of technical throwing drills (without any running!) and a game at the end with lots of breaks, we still had a great time. It would have been easy to have called today’s session off after a great weekend’s work but 28 people still made it out and we got loads done.

Well done to everyone who turned up and got it done! Love sessions like these for teaching the kids (and us adults!) to push on through tougher conditions. 😎🥳🥏❤️☀️🌞👊🏻
