Well done to everyone named in our Team of the Week and to Matt and Stu for their respective milestones!

There were some standout performances across the course of the weekend, most noticeably from Matt!

His 5 - 37 for our 1s against Hoddesdon CC was his maiden five wicket haul for the club - an outstanding achievement!

Congratulations also to Stu Halley, who notched up the impressive milestone of 8,000 runs for North Enfield!

He reached this landmark with 14 in our 2s' defeat at Hatfield Hyde Cricket Club on Sunday and provided a reminder of his class earlier this season, with a fine unbeaten century against White Walkers Cricket Club at Strayfield Road!

Hopefully, this weekend will see many more brilliant performances and further incredible milestones reached!

💚💛 Green and Gold Player of the Weekend! 💚💛

Congratulations to our Green and Gold Player of the Weekend Matt Hodgins, following his maiden five wicket haul for the club!

Matt took 5 - 37 in our 1s' victory over Hoddesdon CC and finished the job off with 4* at the end to seal a tense two wicket win!

His incredible performance with both bat and ball also saw him accumulate 129 points in our Fantasy League!

Well done once again to Matt and thanks to the Green and Gold Garden Company for sponsoring this award!

The junior season concludes this week at Strayfield Road!

Wednesday is the final training session of the season and will be followed by our screening of England's FIFA World Cup Semi Final against Argentina! âš½

Well done to all of our juniors and parents this season and a huge thank you to all of the junior coaches and other individuals, who facilitate junior cricket at Strayfield Road!

The final junior fixture of the season sees our U15s host Harpenden Cricket Club on Thursday, whilst senior training will also be taking place!

On a senior front, our 1s travel to Preston and our 2s host Letchworth Garden City in the Herts Cricket League, before our Friendly XI see out the weekend with the visit of Cockfosters Cricket Club on Sunday!

It promises to be an exciting week and one where we are able to celebrate another enjoyable season of junior cricket!

Hopefully, we will see as many club members as possible across the course of the week!

Slightly later than usual, here are the results from our games this weekend!

Our 1s ensured that they remained sixth in Division 4B of the Herts Cricket League with a dramatic two wicket victory over Hoddesdon CC at Strayfield Road!

Well done to Kieran Jones for his 83 that anchored our chase and a huge congratulations to Matt Hodgins, who claimed his maiden five wicket haul for the club!

Matt's 5 - 37 both gave us a brilliant start with the ball and then helped us to polish off the Hoddesdon CC lower order!

Unfortunately, our 2s lost out at Hatfield Hyde Cricket Club by seven wickets, despite a spirited performance with the bat!

However, they still picked up nine points and will have the chance to go again at home to Letchworth Garden City next weekend!

Finally, Sunday saw another last over thriller at Strayfield Road, only for our Friendly XI to come out on the wrong side of the result this time around!

Pelican CC required seven to win from the last six balls and ultimately got there with two balls to spare!

There were plenty of positives all around though and everyone put in a performance to be proud of with nine players!

Well done to everyone who turned out for us last weekend!

We're already looking forward to going again on Saturday!

It's the first of this season's reverse Herts Cricket League fixtures tomorrow and both our line-ups are now out!

Our 1s host Hoddesdon CC in Division 4B, whilst our 2s face a trip to Hatfield Hyde Cricket Club in Division 10 East!

Thanks to Allan Jones for umpiring in our 1s as usual!

Stay tuned for our Friendly XI's line-up for their match against Pelican on Sunday, which will be released prior to the game!

Go well tomorrow everyone!

Once again, there's been more movement in our Fantasy League and it's getting tight at the top of the leaderboard!

Andy Corgan leapfrogged Oliver Munt and Steve Gandy last weekend, with the top three new separated by just 10 points!

Johnny Greenfield and Abbie Jones make up the rest of the top five, whilst there is still time for them to make a title charge heading into the second half of the season!

Well done to Tom Coughlan for being our top performing player this weekend!

His 53 for our 1s against Northampton Exiles Cricket Club saw him pick up a week high total of 72 points!

Well done to all of our top five performing players and managers this week!

Will Andy be able to keep hold of top spot this week? Check back in next week to find out!

Well done to everyone named in our Team of the Week, as well as to everyone who either achieved milestones or debuted for the club over the course of the weekend!

Despite our two losses in the Herts Cricket League on Saturday, there were still some impressive performances, whilst several players also performed brilliantly in our 16 over, intra-club game on Sunday's Club Day!

Well done to Ben Greenfield, who made his 1s debut on Saturday, putting in a fantastic effort in the field and with the ball, as well as to Alfie Tilley, who debuted for the club in our 2s and scored his first club runs in the process!

Congratulations also to Neil Tilley, who took his first wicket for the club, and to Matt Hodgins, who picked up his first wicket in the 1s!

Well done to everyone who turned out for the club this weekend and participated in our thoroughly enjoyable Club Day!

Hopefully, the second half of the Herts Cricket League will see similarly outstanding performances and both our league sides climb their respective tables!

💚💛 Green and Gold Player of the Weekend! 💚💛

Congratulations to our latest Green and Gold Player of the Weekend - Freddie Pearson!

Freddie bowled brilliantly for our 1s against Northampton Exiles Cricket Club on Saturday, taking 4 - 40 and almost helping bowl us to an incredible victory!

Even more impressively, Freddie's excellence with the ball came just six days after he scored his maiden century for the club!

His four wicket haul also saw him amass 40 points in our Fantasy League!

Well done Freddie and thanks once more to the Green and Gold Garden Company for sponsoring this award!

We held our Club Day on Sunday at Strayfield Road, which was a great success and a thoroughly enjoyable day!

It started with some juniors cricket in the morning, in the shape of a junior tournament and then a parents and juniors match! It was brilliant to see so many of our juniors take part and then also either stick around for or join in with some of the other action later on in the day!

Next up was the soft ball cricket, which entailed a couple of short, incrediball games!

The day then concluded with a hard ball, 16 over match, with the team led by Ishan Tilakaratna comfortably coming out on top!

All in all, it was a wonderful occasion and one that provided something for everything to enjoy, as the photographs show!

Thank you very much to social secretary Abbie Jones for organising the day, as well as to all those involved in the ground preparation (as they are throughout the season) and to those who ran the bar!

Thanks also to all of our members who came and played a part in the day! We've still got several other social events to look forward to this season, so keep an eye out for further details and hopefully, we'll see you there!

This week sees the start of the reverse fixtures in the Herts Cricket League as both our 1s and 2s take on the sides they faced in the first league game of the season all the way back in May!

Our 1s take on Hoddesdon CC in the second of their back-to-back home games at Strayfield Road, whilst our 2s face the trip to Hatfield Hyde Cricket Club in a second consecutive away game!

Also on the senior front, training is set to take place on Thursday, with our Friendly XI back in action on Sunday, as Pelican visit Strayfield Road!

Meanwhile, as the junior season continues to move towards the latter stages, our U12s visit Bengeo Cricket Club on Tuesday and our U15s head to Knebworth Park Cricket Club on Thursday, with junior training also being scheduled for Wednesday!

Hopefully, it's a productive and enjoyable week, amidst sweltering temperatures once more!
