Congratulations to Grant Campbell who won the Mixed Handicap Singles Final this evening.

In an all family affair for the final, Grant recovered from 13-4 down to see off his Dad Alistair 21-17 in an action packed final with some competitive bowls throughout. This is Grant's second time to have won the Handicap Singles after winning the competition 7 years ago. 🤝🏆

Congratulations to Willie Christie and Mary Bain who won the Senior Pairs final tonight. They defeated Mary Legge and Les Keith in a competitive final this evening 9-5! 🏆🤝

Congratulations to Jack Johnson who is our Junior Singles champion this year for 2026. Jack managed to win the trophy defeating Zak Skene in the final. Well done Jack! 🏆🤝 Commiserations to Zak who will definitely be back!

Congratulations to Shirley Campbell who won the Ladies Championship tonight against Zoe Kane 21-13. This is the third year that Shirley has been in the final of the Ladies Singles and after losing narrowly last year, she managed to reclaim the title this year in a competitive final.

Well done Shirley! 🏆 Commiserations to Zoe.

Good luck to Gillian Sinclair who tonight (weather permitting) takes on Sarah Gowans (Mintlaw) in the Buchan Bowling Association. Champion of Champions Ladies Final up at Strichen 6.30pm start, unfortunately our men’s champion Tom Rattray lost narrowly to the Fraserburgh West End Champion on their own green the other night.
A busy weekend with tonight’s finals again weather permitting and we have the Ellon Super 6s at the club this Sunday with 60 players participating. Our ladies are also in the final of the Crowmallie Cup on Sunday which starts at 2pm at Balgownie Bowling Club where they go up against Harlaw Bowling Club, so good luck to Mary Legge/Gillian Sinclair, Lorraine Milne/Shirley Christie and Maureen Sinclair/Ann Singer.
Also good luck to all the teams out and about this weekend from Banff to Aberdeen tournaments.

Tomorrow night Friday 28th come along to the club and enjoy some fantastic bowling as we have 4 finals on.
The Ladies Championship between Zoe Kane and Shirley Campbell, the mixed handicap final is an all family affair Alistair Campbell against Grant Campbell, the Senior Pairs where Mary Bain and Willie Christie play Mary Legge and Les Keith and to top it off we have the junior singles final against Zak Skene and Jack Johnson.

So come along and give some support and have a dram or two in the process.

Good luck to Gillian Sinclair and Tom Rattray who will be representing the club in the inaugural Buchan Bowling Association champion of champions competition tonight. Gillian is at Peterhead and Tom is at Fraserburgh West End if anyone wishing to go along and offer support.

Tonight we have two planned finals starting at 6pm, we have the rearranged ladies handicap final with Gillian Sinclair against Zoe Kane and also the mixed pairs final in where Ann Singer and Craig Dinnes will be up against Willie and Shirley Christie , please come along to support the finalists and good luck to all.

Well the Ellon ladies went and done it today winning the Craigie ladies league at Kintore bowling club against Kemnay. Well done ladies 🏆

Well it wasn’t to be for our men in the Buchan Top Ten final last night as we lost 5-3 , good luck to Fraserburgh West End next season in the national competition, do the Buchan Area proud.
Today our ladies hope to go one better in the Craigie Ladies League Final , they take on Kemnay ladies at Kintore BC, play starts at 13.30. So stick in ladies all the best. The team is Ann Giles/Shirley Christie, Maureen Sinclair/Ann Singer and Mary Legge/Gillian Sinclair.
Tomorrow we have the two bowl pairs where 26 members will be participating so good luck to all those involved tomorrow.
