Sunday, and another well organised event by Deveron Harriers 🏃♀️ A distance for everyone, the 1k race for the kids, then the 5, 10k races, and the Half marathon, which isn’t for the faint of heart ⛰️ 😂
Great to see 2 course records broken on the day in the male and female races, on a really hilly course!
Marshals were amazing as always, and somehow they manage to arrange the sun for us every year 🌞
Massive well done to Team Stewart taking on the half, and the kids races, showing us oldies how it’s done 😂💪🏽🏃♀️
Huge congratulations to everyone who ran yesterday, rest and recover well!

We’ll call this the triathlon edition 😂
Sunday saw my friend and client continue to dip her toe into the triathlon world at the Forfar Triathlon, organised by Tri Angus
A 400m swim, 10.74 bike section, and a 5k run, working your way round Forfar, before finishing round the banks of Forfar Loch
Only her second triathlon, and taking 1st place in her age category!! Huge congratulations to you G, another one chalked up, rest and recover well!
Congratulations also to my good friend , taking on the Scottish Championship Sprint Aquathon at Loch Lomond on Saturday. 🏊♀️ 🏃♀️ Sandra taking bronze in her age category, and safely securing her spot in the World and European Championships in 2027!
Congratulations ladies for a fantastic weekend of racing!

Medal Monday!
Saturday, and it’s weather 🌧️ ⛈️ saw the first Duthie Park 5 and 10k races. Think most of the runners pleased the temps had dropped, and dare I say it, maybe glad of some rain?
Friends and client Wendy, Leeanne and Graham all toeing the line, all coming away chuffed! A looped course, with plenty support, and refreshments at the end!
Another challenge ticked off guys , and a medal collected, we all know Wendy loves her bling!
Nice to see another local event so well supported, with the Aberdeen half just round the corner too, looks like a busy month for local runners! Well done everyone, and rest and recover well!

Medal Monday 🥇
Huge congratulations to my friend at the weekend, competing in the national aquabike championships in Monikie. An eventual event for Sandra, despite all the hurdles, still managing to secure a third in the Scottish championships! Sandra is a fantastic triathlete. Completing this only a month after a brilliant performance in Bolton at the 70.5 iron man event 💪🏽 Your hard work and determination deserves to be applauded Sandra!
This weekend, my client and friend I, traveled to Bamburgh to take part in the castle to castles 100 mile event. Crewed by our friend who navigated, fed and encouraged us both along the route. A challenging route, with a LOT of climbs, we both said the finish up to Arthur’s seat was thought up by someone who wanted us to suffer 😂
Early in the race, Jen was convinced due to ankle issues she’d need to stop. But still crossed the finish line. Congratulations to you Jen, for finding the grit, and the determination to get you over that line.
Rest and recover well!

Another weekend, another marathon for , number 2 of her challenge for her significant birthday this year 😂 Strathern marathon, a “hilly beast” as she appropriately named it, all the hard work she puts in paying off, coming away as 4th female, and to Charlie for tackling his first marathon!
Sunday saw the annual Fraserburgh 10k, and taking on the route. Cold and windy conditions, but delighted to come in under the hour!
Congratulations to all taking part at Trythans Triathlon Festival, and at the Stonehaven Midsummer Beer Happening Sportive, despite the weather, a great weekend of events all round ✊🏼💪🏽
Rest and recover well!

Where do I start… it’s taken a couple days to process. But here we go…
On Sunday 7th June, I finally crossed the finish line completing Bolton 70.3 Ironman.
That was the overall challenge, but personally it was finishing the swim, and going onto the cycling stage.
Swimming is so far out of my comfort zone anyway, let alone in a pond, at 615 am in the cold 😂
Last year, my journey ended when I came out of the water, and was too cold to continue. All the training for my race, for it to end so quickly. I still wanted to tick the box, so signed up again.
Weather for training was not kind, and the pond was not heating up. Life also got in the way… Training was less than last year, and my fear of water was ever present…
The few swims I did do in the pond, didn’t go well, and the week of Bolton I was going to pull out.
But after wise words from my friends, and giving myself a good talking to, I said I’d give it one more bash, and I was going to honour that.
I’m so glad I did. That’s me though,
open water swimming is not for me,
I’m at my happiest when I’m running.
I cannot thank George enough for making this happen. He has been our driver, our bike mechanic, our voice of reason.
He taught me to swim, and I tested his patience more than once🤣
I would never have got into the pond without his and Sandra’s help.
As for Sandra, just amazing. Like me, her journey came to an end last year when someone crashed into her on the cycle and she broke her collarbone. They told her it would take ages to heal, and she would have to behave. They really didn’t know her at all. In half the time she was back on her bike, back in the pool and strength training.
On Sunday she crossed the finish line, and got her medal, and got to wear the hoodie that was never to be worn until she had done the 70.3.
She is not finished. She will do more as her limit has not been reached 💪🏽
Thank you Gavin for putting up with me through this journey.
To my friends who have always been there good bad, and have kicked my arse when required.
My clients who have given me support, and the one who reminded me andforgetandnomore🤣
Ironman 70.3. Done ✔️

What a weekend for friends and clients this weekend!! 🥇 🏊♀️ 🏃♀️ 🚴
First up. and Lee-Anne taking part in the Brewdog run. Lee-Anne from Dyce, and Wendy in from Newmachar. Both setting themselves the challenge earlier in the year, and coming in under target! 🎯 Huge congratulations to you both ladies!
The annual Ellon Pedalcar race was also on Saturday, with clients and alongside the rest of the team, retaining their title 👑 Well done gents!
Where do I start with ! Bolton 70.3, unfinished business for Sandra, after breaking her collarbone at the event last year, there was an axe to grind, and a score to settle! Settle it she did. Nailing her swim, her cycle, and the gruelling 13.1 miles. I think her picture tells the story of her day, and how it went. You are now an Ironman! Massive thanks needs to go to the crew, logistics co-ordinator, and bike mechanic . He clocked up a massive amount of steps, and quite possibly a few more grey hairs getting to the start, and the finish line yesterday. A well earned beer was his reward for all his hard work 🍺
Take a bow everyone. When so much goes into the training, the prep, and the logistics for events. It’s amazing when it all comes together. Proud of every one of you. Rest and recover well all!

Medal Monday 🥇
Sometimes it’s best to let someone articulate their achievements themselves, and today is one of those days.
Huge congratulations to for successfully dipping her toe into the triathlon world yesterday at the Grantown Tri! A big step out of her comfort zone, but as she says, she swam, cycled and ran her little heart out to become a Triathlete!! So chuffed for you G, and to everyone who took part on Sunday. Rest and recover well all!

This weekend saw another round of local events 🥳
Saturday, the 5th annual Tay and Ram 6, and 12 hour races. The lads put so much effort into planning this event, and once again. They arranged the sunshine! My client George toeing the line, racking up 18 miles on the route, before making the sensible decision to pull up, after a knee ni**le made it uncomfortable to continue. Rest up George, before the next challenge later in the year!
Sunday saw the Run Garioch set of events, always well supported, a closed road set of races, with plenty support along the route. Friends and client Glynis and Bob taking on the undulating half marathon course, props to Glynis for the photo of the weekend 😍
Huge congratulations to them both for strong efforts, even with the hills later in the race, Glynis finishing the last 2 miles as her fastest on the course 💪🏽 Rest and recover well all!

Medal Monday 🥇
With all the excitement of big events the last couple weeks, it’s great to see a local event so well supported ✊🏼
Peterhead Athletes Club annual Longside Loop, and junior mile took place on Saturday, clients and took part in the 10 mile, and daughter took part in the junior mile 🥳 Lesley coming well under her target finish time, and wee Meia coming in in 6th place! A warm day, but the spread and cakes after assisted in everyone’s refuelling! Huge congratulations to everyone who took part on Saturday, rest and recover well!
