Entries are now open for this year’s New Club Billiards Championship!

We’re now taking names for our annual club championship, taking place on Saturday 5th September.

As we don’t expect the same number of entries as our snooker events, the championship will be played over a single evening, with the exact format to be confirmed once entries close. If we receive more entries than expected, we’ll revert to the traditional format of arranged matches.

Never played English billiards before? Don’t let that put you off! This is the perfect opportunity to give it a try. It’s a fantastic game that really helps improve your cue ball control and teaches you how to use every inch of the snooker table.

The competition is FREE to enter and is open to all New Club members, so whether you’re an experienced player or simply fancy trying something different, get your name down and join in.

🏆 JOHN ‘THE MACLEOD SLAYER’ HERRIOTT WINS EVENT 6! 🎱

After a night full of drama, upsets and some seriously impressive performances, it’s John Herriott who takes the Event 6 honours, defeating Nate Winkler in a closely contested final! 👏

John came through a tight group in style, including a demolition of close friend Steven Watson — and, just to rub salt in the wounds, he then defeated Steven again, along with Craig Ellis, in a blue ball shootout to secure his place in the semi-finals! 😬

Waiting for him in the semis was the unbeaten Adam Macleod. Adam had gone 3 for 3 in the groups and, across the last two events, was yet to taste defeat. But tonight he finally met his match as John’s scoring power proved too much, bringing Adam’s unbeaten run to an end! 💥

In the other semi-final, Nate Winkler faced Mark Bell, with both players coming through their groups undefeated and in excellent form. This one really could have gone either way, but it was Nate who came through to book his place in the final.

We tipped Nate last week after he narrowly missed out on the semi-finals — and he certainly didn’t disappoint! Another fantastic performance and surely that first win is just around the corner. 👊

👏 Congratulations John! A fantastic performance and thoroughly deserved.

🎱 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡 𝗙𝗟𝗬𝗘𝗥 – 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗦 🎱

It was a great night of pool last night for our Open Flyer! 👊🔥

𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗣 𝗔
Andy Lowe produced a perfect group stage performance, winning all three of his matches to finish top and book his place in the semi-finals. Gary Allan finished second, with Alan Jones and Danny Patience completing the group.

𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗣 𝗕
Craig Smith went through the group stage with three wins from three to secure his semi-final spot. Sandy Ingram finished runner-up, followed by Doug Copland and Gordie Mortimer.

𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗣 𝗖
Chris Ross was the third player to finish the groups with a perfect 3-0 record, taking top spot ahead of Tony McCallion, who finished with two wins. Mark Lawrence finished third, with Innes McWilliam completing the group.

𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗣 𝗗
This group proved to be the tightest of the night, with Kriss Bradshaw and Gordon Duncan both finishing with two wins from three. Kriss took top spot on the head to head and progressed to the semi-finals, with Jamie Allan third and Conor Copland fourth.

𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗜-𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗦
Andy Lowe faced Kriss Bradshaw with nothing separating the pair after 15 minutes as the match finished 1-1. That meant a 6 Red Shootout was needed to decide it, with Andy posting the quicker time to take the 2-1 victory and book his place in the final. In the other semi-final, Chris Ross defeated Craig Smith 2-1 to set up the final.

Chris saved his best performance for the final, producing a dominant 4-0 victory over Andy to become our Open Flyer champion! 🏆🔥

Congratulations to Chris on a superb night, and well done to Andy on an excellent run to the final. 👏

Here are the standings as we head into Event 6 of the 900+ Series! 🎱

It’s a three-way tie at the top, with Graham Scales, Andy Lowe and Shaun Hendry all sitting on 51 points, but there are plenty of players hot on their heels.

It’s just as tight at the other end of the table, with everyone battling to break into the top 16 and secure their place in the mix.

With plenty more points up for grabs, there’s still everything to play for! 🔥
