Great turnout for this morning’s Active Recovery Moray Monday ride! 🚵♂️🙌
We mixed things up a bit and explored some new trails that someone has clearly been busy building 👀🤘 Always good to discover something new on our doorstep!
As usual, the riding was only half of it… plenty of good conversation along the way, including a surprisingly intellectual debate about AI, the future, and whether we should be embracing it or slightly terrified by it 😂🤖
Good trails, good people and good conversation - not a bad way to start the week! 💚

Another great Friday session! 🚵🤘
Brilliant to see some new faces joining us tonight alongside our regular riders. A good evening on the trails, plenty of laughs and, as always, the craic was on point! 😁
Our Friday Community Rides are all about getting out on the bike, meeting people and enjoying the trails together in a friendly, relaxed environment.
Thanks to everyone who came along - see you next Friday! 👊

Really excited to be working with The Warehouse EYC again! 🚵♂️🙌
After a great taster session earlier this year, we’re kicking off a six-week mountain biking programme in September.
There are still two spaces available - check out the post below for details 👇
**New Activity** Following the success of mountain bike taster sessions with Dimitris who runs Boundless Trails, we have now secured funding for a block of 6 weeks of mountain biking sessions with Boundless Trails and have two more spaces available. The sessions will be on Saturdays from Saturday the 5th of September and will run weekly until Saturday 10th of October. Most of the sessions will be a 2-3 hour session and the final week will be a longer full day session. (Times TBC). Participants need to be available for all six sessions. Please e-mail us at [email protected] by 6pm on Thursday 20th August if you think you might be interested in taking part and we will get back to you. [Participants who attended the taster sessions and have confirmed their interest do not need to apply].

“Maybe adults haven’t forgotten how to make friends. We’ve just lost many of the places where friendship happens naturally.”
When we’re kids, friendship is built into everyday life. We go to school, see the same people every day, spend time together and connections just happen.
Adulthood is different. Work, family and life get busy. Seeing friends requires planning, messages and somehow finding a gap in everyone’s calendar.
It’s something I see through Boundless Trails too. For many of our riders, loneliness and social isolation are real, and sometimes what they’re looking for is simply connection and somewhere they feel they belong.
That’s one of the things I love about sport. A regular ride gives us a reason to come together. You ride, chat, laugh, struggle up the same hills, grab a coffee and come back again. Over time, familiar faces can become friends. 🚵♂️💚
I’ve written a short blog exploring loneliness, friendship in adulthood and why community sport can be so important.
And if you’d like to meet new people yourself, our Boundless Trails Community Rides are free, friendly and there’s no pressure or commitment. Come along for a ride. 😊

We’re incredibly grateful to Matthew Duncan, who is taking on the Aviemore Triathlon this September to raise funds for Boundless Trails 💚
Matthew has been part of our community for some time, and seeing someone choose to support our work in this way means a huge amount. Every donation will help us continue providing opportunities for people to improve their wellbeing through mountain biking.
To make things even more fun, everyone who donates can leave their predicted finish time in the comments on Matthew’s JustGiving page. The three closest guesses will each win a prize, kindly donated by Matthew! 🏊🚵🏃
Thank you, Matthew, and good luck - we’ll all be cheering you on! 💚🚵

Another great Monday morning out for the Active Recovery Moray mountain bike group! 🚵☀️
It’s brilliant to see these rides continuing week after week, bringing people together to enjoy the outdoors and support one another.
These rides are about so much more than mountain biking. They’re about getting outdoors, connecting with others, building confidence, and supporting wellbeing in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
A big thank you to everyone who came along today. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, our Monday rides continue throughout the summer and new riders are always welcome.
See you next week! 👊

Another brilliant Friday evening out on the trails! 🚵
A good mix of riding, sessioning some fun and tricky features, and plenty of encouragement along the way. It’s fantastic to see everyone’s confidence and riding ability improving week after week.
And, as always, the banter was on point! 🤘

What a brilliant day at Glenlivet with our Boundless Trails Youth Community Ride! 🚵💚
The kids had an amazing time riding the trails, building confidence, and having fun outdoors. One thing that’s become really clear from today’s ride is that it’s not just the young riders who enjoy it the dads had just as much fun too! 🙌
We’re keen to welcome more young people (S1-S3 age group) to the group.
A few things to know:
• 🚵 Rides take place every two weeks
• 👨👧 Parental involvement is required
• 💚 Completely free to attend
• 🌿 Beginner friendly and non competitive
• 🤝 The only requirement is that everyone shares and respects the Boundless Trails ethos and values of kindness, encouragement, inclusivity, and respect.
If you know a young person who would enjoy getting out on the trails, making new friends, and being part of a supportive community, send us a message for more information. We’d love to have you along!

Off the plane, straight onto the bike. ✈️➡️🚵
I landed back in Scotland yesterday afternoon and headed straight to our Friday Boundless Trails community ride. There was no better way to kick off the weekend!
It was great to see familiar faces, welcome some new riders, and spend the evening riding bikes and enjoying good company.
A quick reminder that our Friday community rides continue throughout the summer. Whether you’ve been coming along for months or you’ve been thinking about joining for the first time, you’re always welcome. No pressure, no racing just a friendly group of people getting out on their bikes together.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, and to Ally and Nick for helping facilitate the sessions. Looking forward to seeing you all next Friday! 🚵☀️
