Another fun morning with tournament preparation finished and course set up complete for rounds 3 and 4 of the North of Scotland Open Amateur Strokeplay. Some of the colour to be found around both courses at Moray Golf Club & Pro Shop Moray Golf Club Greenkeepers the last two photos are terrible, but they are of a pretty cool find, short ear owl patrolling the gorse line. Saw a sparrowhawk today too, but no pic.

35 years on, and I still get a buzz from tournament preparations. It's an honour to be part of the maintenance team looking after the links courses at Moray Golf Club & Pro Shop. As I approach my 2 year anniversary of being here, it's clear to see the enormous amount of long term planning and sound agronomy practices carried out at appropriate times that are all coming to fruition, with excellent playing surfaces across all areas. A huge congratulations to Kevin Thomson, whose site specific knowledge is second to none, for guiding us through a demanding schedule as we offer each and every golfer the best we can, every day. ⛳️💪😎👌👏👏👏

Was good to welcome PGA Scotland back for this weeks Northern Open.

Massive well done to the guys for their efforts over the last month with such a ridiculously busy schedule.

It’s often taken for granted but there’s a hell of a lot of hard work involved to get a golf course primed for tournament play. To be asked to do it 4 weeks in a row is challenging to say the least.

Our team should be proud of what’s been achieved and the scoring this week doesn’t happen if the surfaces aren’t good.
