We're excited to launch another year of the Participation League! 🎉

On the last Sunday of each month, every registered child who completes Cooper Park junior parkrun earns 1 point for their school. Schools compete throughout the year, with trophies awarded in May 2027. 🏅

🚨 IMPORTANT 🚨

✅ parkrun registration = once in your child's lifetime

✅ Participation League registration = every school year

⚠️ All children must register again for 2026/27, even if they took part previously.

🏅🎉 The Moray Active Schools team were delighted to deliver two Coach Academies across the West (Elgin) and East (Buckie) of Moray last week over four fantastic days, with fun sports sessions offered each afternoon to the community! 🌟⚽🏀

🙌 40 young leaders from across Moray participated in the Coach Academy, developing their leadership and coaching skills while gaining valuable hands-on coaching experience. 💪👏 The programme helped build their confidence and support their development as future coaches and leaders. 🌱🏅

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ Throughout the week, 114 young people from across Moray took part in community-based sports sessions, enjoying a variety of activities and opportunities to be active. 🎾🏸⚽🏐

👏 A huge well done to everyone involved and thank you to all the young leaders and participants who made the week such a success! 🎉🌟

We look forward to seeing all of our young leaders in action across Moray during the new school term. 💪🏅

🌟 Grampian Disability Sport Parasport Festival 2026🌟

We're delighted to help promote this fantastic FREE event taking place on Sunday 30th August at Inverurie Academy.

The festival offers children and young people with disabilities the opportunity to try a range of exciting sports, including wheelchair basketball, boccia, swimming, adaptive cycling, football, dance, and much more.

Whether you're looking to discover a new sport, build confidence, or simply have fun, this is a great day not to be missed!

We have 3 inspirational guest speakers:
Colin Hendry, ex Scotland Captain and PC Sean Harrower, both will be talking about their lived experiences and road to recovery.
