Mark Gallagher made his 100th appearance for the club during last week’s KDM Evolution Trophy match v Clach.

Gal joined the club initially on loan from Cove Rangers in January 2024, then made it a permanent move at the end of that season, and has recently extended his contract to the end of season 2027/28.

Mark had scored 9 goals for the club during his 100 appearances, and scored his 10th goal for the club during his 101st appearance on Saturday!

Tickets are now on sale for our KDM Evolution Trophy match v Fraserburgh, those who bought a Season Ticket Plus+/Gold Card Plus+, don’t need a ticket for any cup games, as part of the package they have already purchased

After a hectic start to the campaign, we have now played 11 games, and we already have 11 different players having scored this season!

Kyle Girvan and Oli Colloty lead the goalscoring charts at the end of August with 4 goals each, beating their total’s for last season, where they both scored 3 goals each!

Lewis Hyde has also scored his first goal in 19 months, whilst Lewis Mackay and Calum Brown have scored their first goals for the club

Congratulations to youngsters Sam Rothnie and Kai Smith who have made their professional debuts for the club over the last few weeks

Sam made his debut against Kilmarnock in the Premier Sports Cup, and featured again against Clach in the KDM Evolution, in the same match Kai Smith also made his debut for the club

Stefan Laird - “It’s been great to chart the progress of some of younger squad members so far this season.

Sam Rothnie has featured multiple times and had been training with the first team on occasion last season but has been ever present with us so far this campaign. For me , he is one of the most talented players at his age in the region, he has a really bright future, the challenge for us and Sam now is to get him as many games as possible this season, here or elsewhere to continue that development to get the best for him and the club, Sam will be a regular in our first team at some stage, no question.

Kai has come in recently after impressing during outings with our 19s and 21s, he was thrust into the first team environment in our KDM game without training with us at all when a space opened up, showing that performances in our youth teams don’t go unnoticed and we are not scared to give the young players a chance.

This highlights the great work being done by Darren and Derek at U21 and throughout the youth pathway led by Darren. I thank them for their work and we trust their advice and knowledge”

On Saturday we start another 3 game week, which includes two away league matches, when we make the trip to The Rock to face Dumbarton

In our last trip to The Rock, it was a share of the spoils after a 2-2 draw with Miko Virtanen among the scorers for Elgin

Tom secured his second clean sheet of the season on Saturday and his 10th in Elgin colours during our 4-0 win v Stirling Albion

Tom, on his 49th appearance for the club, took control of his box during Stirling’s set pieces and put in another mature performance between the sticks

Jack capped off an excellent month with another assist with his free kick delivery for Colloty setting up our third goal yesterday
