Free, weekly, timed 2k parkrun for 4 to 14 year olds. Every Sunday at 9.30am. Please register for free before your first visit!

junior parkrun is a collection of 2k walk/jog/runs for children aged between 4 and 14. They are held in
areas of open space around the country. They are open to all, free, and are safe and easy to take part
in. If you are not a junior please come along to one of our weekly Saturday 5k parkrun events instead.

🎉🎉Hailes Quarry Juniors is turning 1!!!🎉🎉

On Sunday 6th September, we’ll be celebrating our 1st birthday! 🥳

What a year it has been!

We’ve had so much fun, made so many memories, seen lots of happy faces and watched our amazing juniors take on the course week after week.

We hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as we have!

We’re planning an extra fun birthday event and we can’t wait to celebrate with you all!

On the 6th September we will be celebrating our first birthday and we're looking forward to a fun event celebrating a full year of junior parkrun fun at Hailes Quarry Park . We are also looking for volunteers for this event so please get in touch if you can help

We love meeting families from all over the country and today we met the Easts, who have been holidaying in Scotland and trying out events here. A great way to end their trip volunteering and seeing son & brother, Leo cross the line first! Safe journey back to Nottingham folks. ❤

Run #50! 🌞🌞
We welcomed a fantastic 74 young folk with parents, grandparents, carers, and friends who ran, jogged, and walked around the course. We also welcomed PC Nicola Goodall from Police Scotland Edinburgh

🫶 - 7 doing their first ever Parkrun. ❤
👊 - 4 running our course for the first time.💫

A HUGE well done to everyone who ran, jogged, or walked, especially the 19 runners who achieved new Personal Bests. 👏

🟠 - 25 runs competed by Hendrix Wijelath. 😍

As always, this event simply wouldn’t happen without our incredible team of 30 lovely volunteers who kept everything safe, smooth, and fun. Thank you all so much 💙 🙏

🚨👮It was a proper Police lineup on the start line today!

We had a very special guest trainer this morning as Community Police Officer PC Nicola Goodall stepped in to lead our junior parkrun warm-up. She caught everyone red-handed having far too much fun and sentenced all our runners to two laps of pure energy.
She made sure nobody was cutting corners or resisting a stretch!

Our RD Alan had a great time volunteering at Oriam parkrun this morning. An impressive 302 runners. A great run to join or support every Saturday at Heriot-Watt University. 👊👊👊
