And that's a wrap on CeilidhKids at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2026. 22 dancing sessions, 945 tickets booked, plus walk-ins. Trains driven, froggy jumps perfected, and yellow spots well jumped upon. Thank you to Alex at The Free Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Brian and Peter at The Counting House, Olaf Falafel for being the best roommate, Matty Gray and Swanni for their patience with the noise and the stomping, Wooles for crowd-wrangling and photography, and ESPECIALLY to the fantastic families who came for a dance.
As well as our lovely Edinburgh locals we had visitors from the following places - apologies for the wildly varying exactitude...

Would any of you grown ups like to do more ceilidh dancing? Katy's and my lovely friend Cath Coutts - fab ceilidh caller - will be running a course at Scots Music Group https://www.scotsmusic.org/our-classes/ on Wednesdays at Sciennes Primary School so why not go along and add to your ceilidh skills? Giant, Trees and Frogs will only get you so far...

Another lovely The Free Edinburgh Fringe Festival audience review from Sam who says 'Our 3.5 year old loved it! We arrived slightly late but she got stuck in straight away and loved all the dances'
We're not dancing tomorrow (Wednesday) but we're back on Thursday (27th) and in the meantime here is Scarfy who came for a dance with us the other day...

Amid the Fringe frenzy, Lindsay Weir, Colin Garvin, Martainn Skene and I headed to Heather On The Hill Festival at the Royal Highland Showground on Saturday to entertain the masses. It was lovely to work with a three-piece band for once and certainly made a change to be directing the dancing in what turned out to be a croissant-shaped dance floor, but a good time was had by all and I found my way back to the car eventually! Thank you for asking us along.

We're more or less sold out this morning (Sunday) at The Free Edinburgh Fringe Festival at The Counting House - might be able to squeeze in one walk-in family but that's all. Plenty of space during the week though!
