Kali (2026) has been shortlisted for The Gaelic Literature Awards Gaelic Books Council as Best Book for Children Aged 8+!

We’ve been working with Coocoora since 2018, when we published her debut hand-drawn version of Kali. From day one, we were blown away by her incredible artwork, captivating characters and brilliant storytelling. For 5 years she poured her heart and soul into developing and redrawing Kali as a whopping 96-page comic book, which we published in english in 2024. Coocoora then wanted to produce a version in Gaelic, being exactly the type of book she sought in vein for, as a teenager at a Gaelic medium secondary school.

We are so pleased to be attending The Gaelic Literature Awards ceremony in September!

Kali can be bought on our website in both english and Gaelic, as well as in person outside our studio Out of the Blue Drill Hall (there are also wholesale options for retailers 👀)

We will also be selling in Glasgow this Saturday 8th August at Sequential Scotland alongside a huge amount of talented comics artists from Scotland and beyond! Hopefully we’ll see you there 📚📚📚📚📚

🔗 Now Available: On the Table is a brand new 36-page 2-colour zine from our latest artist in residence, who created it as part of his residency over early Summer. In it, he explores themes of transition, decay, change, community, control, queerness, gender, and eroticism, using cannibalism as a metaphor for intense, all consuming feelings.
The sustainability riso printed zine on recycled paper was made alongside his exhibition works, which are on show Out of the Blue Drill Hall Mondays - Saturdays, 10am - 5pm until 29th August 2026
