I have a lot of discussions with my clients on how to frame the lifestyle changes they’re making for their children.
Most of my clients grew up with toxic diet culture and they are committed to breaking the cycle for their children.
And these are some of the examples of the language we use to help little ones understand what taking the best possible care of our bodies looks like.
You want to look and feel your best. You want to feel good in your clothes. Of course you do. But above all you want to be an amazing role model for your children.
And the women at The Strong Mama Collective are exactly that 🩷

It’s not that your post-natal body isn’t capable of the same things it was before you became a mum.
It’s that your ability to recover from the same volume of exercise is massively impacted because of how your life is now.
And that’s okay 🩷
The training plans within my coaching programmes focus on the minimum effective dose of exercise - that is a moderate volume that stimulates the required muscle groups, gives you a good boost of endorphins and a big ol’ dose of ENERGY which will increase your CAPACITY which will therefore help you handle the day better (and actually enjoy it - not just getting through and surviving it)
If you’d like to know more about my current coaching options, drop a ‘COACHING’ below or send me a message and we will arrange a no pressure chat x

In the early post-natal days, Alison didn’t believe she would ever get back to running 10ks.
At the weekend she ran the Killin 10k with her wee boy Cammy waiting for at the finish line 🩷
Cammy has just turned one and during the last 12 months Alison hasn’t aimed for perfection. She has aimed for consistency. To consistently show up for herself in whatever ways she could, when she could.
This is a message of hope and reassurance to any new mums who are in the throes of those early post-partum days. It’s bloody tough but I promise you will get there.
Keep finding little ways to show up for yourself 🩷 And if you would like structure, guidance and a plan (plus an awesome community of other mums to cheer you on) send me a message x

Your reminder to never let the fear win. And never let that neggy voice in your head tell you you can’t do it.
I help my clients tackle negative self talk by asking them to name that negative voice in their head. It gives the voice an identity that is separate from you and allows you to address it directly.
Mine is called Janet. And Janet can be a pain in the arse.
She was telling me on Saturday that I wouldn’t manage it. That I would embarrass myself.
So I told her to S**U and ran the race.
That’ll show her 💪

Between us we are 12 mums managing the daily chaos of raising young children whilst fitting in exercise around daily life.
And we want to show our little ones what happens when a group of mums come together to make a difference 🩷
I’ve had my own cancer journey but sadly I am not alone. 1 in 2 of us will be diagnosed with cancer in our lifetime.
Entering Battle Cancer and raising money for these two brilliant charities is our way of saying thank you to those who have helped or are helping our nearest and dearest.
If you’d like to support us and help give cancer the middle finger whilst you’re at it, the fundraising link is in my bio.
And if you’d like to come down and cheer us on, we’ll be kicking ass and taking names at the SECC in Glasgow on the 3rd October at 10am 💪✌️

Your daily behaviour teaches children more than words.
Our children notice how we handle stress, how we treat others and how we treat ourselves.
emmathomas_28 is one of my longest-standing clients and she has worked hard to consistently show up for herself in whatever way she can since her daughter Charlotte was born.
Emma has faced extremely challenging times as a mother, yet she has never abandoned herself in those moments.
Because she knows that showing up for herself and doing what she can to take the best possible care of herself during tough times gives her the bandwidth, strength and capacity to deal with all the challenges motherhood can bring.
She is a phenomenal role model to her daughter and an inspiration to mums everywhere to just keep bloody going when things get tough and do the best you can with whatever you’ve got on the day.
If you’d like to make positive changes to your health and fitness and do it whilst surrounded by other inspiring, warm and kick-ass women then you’ve got until this Friday to sign up for my 6 week online coaching programme The Reclaim You Project.
You can find the joining link in my bio or message me and I’ll send you the info.
6 weeks to a fitter, stronger more confident you starts here x

Gearing up for my first competition I’ve done since becoming pregnant with Blair.
