Congratulation to John Douglas on winning the Seniors 2 bowl final against Adam Brock.

He was pushed all the way but ran out as the winner by 21 - 19.

Congratulation to Murray Brown on becoming the Senior Handicap winner for 2026.

Murray defeated John Douglas in-between downpours in today's final.

Who beat Brunstane in the final to go on and lift the Evelyn Walker Trophy at the Braid finals.

For the second year in a row, the Scottish 4's were won by Dick Wilson, Gordon Falconer, Gary Neil and Gus Robertson.

Runners up were, Gerry Walker, Andy Dougall, Sunny Ali and Jim Thomson.

The second Final in as many days between John Douglas and Stuart Wilson, John has run out as the Seniors Championship winner for the 3rd time in a row.

Congratulations to both in their respective efforts throughout the season 👏

Massive Congratulations to John Douglas on winning the 2 Bowl Final. A hard fought game ending 21 - 17 against his old foe, Stuart Wilson.

Annie McAlpine Ladies Invitational Triples
Sunday 23 August 26

Bainfield ladies were delighted, after more than 6 years, to hold the Annie McAlpine Invitational Triples, which started in 1991. The response from the members inviting ladies from other clubs from all over Edinburgh was great, making up the 18 triples.

The weather was great, good company and well looked after by both the caterers and the Bar staff.

Triples Semi finals saw Dianne Craig beat Gill Cowan and Ann McKenzie beat Heather Stoddart.

The exciting Final saw Ann McKenzie, Fiona Coutts (Braid) and Moira Rogers (Craigentinny) go on to lift the Trophy against Dianne Craig, Sheila Rinning (Slateford) and Yvonne Reid (Slateford).

Great day had by all and we hope to see all the visitors again next year.
