King Waddlesworth and Salamander are both ready for their first full combat competition at NESCR at Broughty Ferry tomorrow. Also bringing my antweight replica of Dantomkia for whiteboards only. Will also be bringing T-Bone for a static display tomorrow :)

In a week today, Team SQR will be running a small robot event as part of the Ferry Fair 2026 celebrations during the family fun evening at Burgess Park, South Queensferry on Thursday 6th August from 6pm. Demos from antweights, beetleweights and featherweights and also heavyweight robots from BBC 2's Robot Wars on display, why not pop along and say hi? 🙂

Not been on this page in a while. Just thought I’d come back to say Team SQR have been at a couple of events recently, we were at Battle in the Burgh 5 held at Loanhead last week and this week we were at NESCRs first event at the Dundee Science Centre. NESCR (North East Scotland Combat Robots) are an organisation formed by Ross McKay (Team Oletar), Mark Smith (Team Freybotics) and Kit and Andrew Holme who are roboteers from Aberdeen, Dundee and St. Andrews respectively, who organised their first event.

We brought Corkscrew on along with Pug which went on display along with some other beetleweights and featherweights while we did antweight demos and also offered opportunities for science centre visitors to take the controls and have a shot.

A very enjoyable event with great company and what was great was we offered more of an opportunity for more of Scotland to see what we do 😎😎😎

Can’t wait until their next events and would like to wish Mark, Ross, Kit and Andrew all the best with their event 🙂

Hi all, Team SQR had a great time at Doncaster last weekend. Some other news is that our antweight version of Corkscrew will participating in the classic wars replica tournament hosted by Team Oeletar. Round of 32 goes live tonight on their YouTube channel :)

Hi all, been a while since we last posted here but Team SQRs first event of the year will be this weekend at Extreme Robots at Doncaster. We will be providing Storm Force and Corkscrew to go on display at the event as well as our fleet of antweights which will be playing in the intervals in between shows. Hope to see you there :)

With the success of the last couple of years, Team SQR are back from hosting our small event we did for the third year running at Burgess Park as part of the family fun evening as part of Ferry Fair 2025 in our hometown in South Queensferry. People getting a shot of driving antweight robots, demo battles from beetleweight and featherweight robots, heavyweight robots from TVs Robot Wars on display as well as Jamie McHargs replica of house robot Dead Metal. Smiles all around and a great time had by all

Hi all, thought I'd let you we'll be organizing a small event as part of South Queensferry's Ferry Fair as part of the family fun evening at Burgess-Park on Thursday 7th August for the third year running. We'll be there from 6pm till 9pm doing featherweight and beetleweight demos, offering opportunities for the public to have a shot and drive antweight robots in battle and also a heavyweight display area featuring TV robots old and new. Why not pop over and say hello? :)

Team SQR are currently at South Queensferry for Battle in the Burgh 5 where Storm Force is on display with Jasper and also Shunt and Dead Metal :)

This has been a very fun antweight to drive and play with since I got it and I’m sure it will be when I go to future events
