Our Summer Sportive yesterday attracted over 60 riders! All contributed to raising over £600 for . Special thanks to Matt for hosting and providing the refreshments.

My colleague checked the course last night on the way home from work, all ok except for the dual carriageway to the M6 leg which has one lane closed (same (as last year), HOWEVER I drove the course at 1pm today (Saturday) and a set of lights has been put up just opposite the finish!!!!!!!!!! As usual no one there doing any work, and there is a 30 sec to 1 minute delay to get through if you are caught, and as you would have to pass it 8 times (up and down the leg) its going to seriously hamper any times as its just at the end of the faster downhill section.

After looking at this I've really no option other than to CANCEL THE EVENT, I'm really sorry about that (and slightly cross)

If you have paid on line, then contact me or CTT to get refunded (Im not sure how to do it with CTT)

This Saturday it’s the Stafford Road Club Summer Sportive — our final summer event before autumn inevitably arrives! 🍂😂

Choose your challenge:

🔵 35 miles – social spin
🔴 50 miles – a little more challenging

📍 Run & Ride Stafford
⏰ Registration from 8:30am | Ride starts 9:00am
💷 £10 per person – cash or bank transfer on the day

❤️ 100% of the proceeds go to Katharine House Hospice.

Thanks to all that competed today, dry conditions and the headwind dropped just before the start. Course a bit bumpy in places. Some excellent times on the road bikes.
