Can we please talk about delivery addresses for a minute?

We're seeing an increasing number of parcels being returned because customers are entering incomplete addresses, incorrect postcodes, missing house numbers, or simply selecting the wrong delivery address when placing their order.

This costs us both time and money.

Up until now, Catty Precision has absorbed the costs involved in correcting addresses, contacting couriers, chasing parcels, and reshipping returned parcels. Unfortunately, this is something we can no longer continue doing.

For website orders, we only charge £2.50 for Standard Delivery or £5.99 for Guaranteed Next Day Delivery. In reality, the actual cost of shipping is often double that once packaging materials, labour, courier charges and other overheads are taken into account.

Over the years we've absorbed numerous courier price increases rather than passing them directly onto our customers. However, we cannot continue covering additional costs caused by incorrect delivery information being entered at checkout.

🚫 Going forward, if a parcel is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer, the customer will be responsible for the full cost of reshipping the parcel before it can be dispatched again. Catty Precision will no longer absorb or subsidise these costs.

🚫 If you no longer want the order, any refund issued will be less the original shipping costs and any costs incurred in returning the parcel to us.

We are a small family-run business, not Amazon. We simply do not have the time to manually verify every address entered on every order.
