Saturday swimming delivered! 🌊🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

What. A. Beauty!😍

Usually, I’m a kind and considerate coach… 🤥 I plan our sessions to keep them a little more sheltered from the current along the shore, before letting the current do some of the work on the way back through the deeper water.

But today I woke up and chose **chaos.** 😂

So I switched things up and sent them back “against the current” along our deeper safe-water markers.

It was tough. It was slow. There was definitely some questioning of life choices. 😂

But the challenge was accepted, the heads went down and they cracked on.

And the annoying part? They actually loved it! 🤦‍♀️🩵

Who needs a gentle Saturday swim when you can voluntarily swim into a wall of water instead? 🌊💪

Apparently, I’m not a coach… I’m just very good at disguising suffering as “fun training.” 😉

Sunrise 🌅 is a special part of the day, even more so when combined with dreamy calm seas 🌊

It’s September, the nights are getting shorter and the sea is getting colder but our tribe is stronger than ever.

Mother nature has different ideas to my schedule 😩 so as usual I have to adapt to what she has in store for us.
This week I changed a few things around to be able to run this epic 3.5km Eastbourne Seafront Swim …and it delivered for sure.
We had a beautiful evening chasing/beating the sunset 🌅

Despite the crap 💩 start to the week (see our media coverage with the BBC on the Southern Water Pollution scandal) Saturday swim club was just what we needed to blow away the cobwebs.
Blue sky and calm waters and happy to be doing what we love 💕 ….

Sewage is “sh*t” and we shouldn’t have to deal with it.

The sea should be a safe place to enjoy and shouldn’t be ignoring responsibility and dumping in our playground.

The BBC came to Eastbourne to shed light on the situation.

Swimming at low tide in Eastbourne could only mean one thing during the Airbourne flight path series.…it was time to make a beeline for the black buoy 🖤 ✈️ 🏊‍♀️ …and it was even shallow enough to stand up.

When they’re gone, they’re gone….well untill next year anyway ! 😂🌊🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️
