Post-workout recovery can be boosted by ginger. It contains bioactive compounds like gingerol, which are anti-inflammatory and antioxidants.
The elements they contain may help reduce muscle soreness and speeds up injury recovery. 🌿
A study in the Journal of Pain found that ginger significantly reduces muscle pain.
Additionally, a study in the International Journal of Preventive Medicine suggests that ginger may contribute to minimizing post-exercise muscle pain.
For a deeper dive into the science, PubMed and ScienceDirect are fantastic resources.
So, if you’re keen to geek out on the details, check them out for more information 🤓
As always though check with your doctor because it can interfere with medication and everyone is different and reacts differently to supplements and everything in moderation!

Omega-3 fatty acids are vital for the body, positively impacting the heart, cognitive function, and mood. They contribute to heart health by reducing triglycerides and enhancing blood vessel function. These healthy fats also support mental well-being, promoting cognitive function and mood regulation.
In terms of athletic performance, omega-3s are instrumental in reducing inflammation, supporting joint health and aiding in muscle recovery.
Athletes incorporating these fats into their diet may experience faster recovery, decreased muscle soreness, and improved overall performance. By including omega-3-rich foods like oily fish, wild game meat such as venison or omega-3 fish oil supplements, individuals can embrace a holistic approach to heart health, mental well-being, and enhanced athletic recovery.

☠Meet Paula☠, the other half of Outlaw
As Paula has been working behind the scenes, you haven't seen much of her.
She's been putting her background in digital marketing to good use by getting Outlaw set up and running.
👇Here's a little more about Paula:
Powerlifting:
Having struggled with post-natal depression after her and Ross's third child, Paula returned to the gym and discovered strength training. Ross suggested powerlifting, and that's how it started. She found herself with renewed lease on life and passion.
Geek:
Paula is huge on marketing. In fact, she doesn't see it as a job at all but as a hobby because she loves it so much, she could spend all day talking about SEO and copywriting, both of which she specialises in. She also enjoys gaming, anime and comic books. She would also spend her whole life studying because she loves learning new things.
The things she loves:
If Paula's not powerlifting or geeking out over marketing she loves to chill and spend time with Ross and their three kids. Going for walks and playing (usually arguing!) board games. Paula also adores her four cats that she slaves over. Nothing makes her happier than sitting with a coffee and having her boy Lilo in her lap.
Paula is currently working toward her personal training and nutrition certificates.
Stay tuned for more services coming soon to compliment our athletes' training and sports

💤Over half of athletes aren't getting enough quality sleep!
Sleep deprivation can seriously affect your performance, and it will take about 2-3 days for you to regain your energy.
The best athletes know that performance is more than just grinding, good recovery and rest are crucial.
While you sleep, your body releases hormones that promote growth, tissue repair, and metabolism.
Sleeping well will help you be more focused, make better decisions, react faster, and be more agile.
It is important for athletes to focus on improving sleep duration, quality, and timing, and to ease into these changes over time.
Here are some tips for getting a better night's sleep:
🔹️In the late hours of the day, avoid drinking alcohol or caffeine.
🔹️A 30 minute window before bed is the best time to turn off your screens.
🔹️Consider taking a power nap mid-day to recharge
Coffee and alcohol can disrupt your sleep, blue light screens interfere with melatonin production, and naps keep your mind sharp.
