All parents know how it feels when your child competes but in combat sports, the intensity is on another level.

This is what I want Monty to carry into his match:

Flow like water calm, adaptable, formless. Let nothing pull you off balance.

Stillness + emptiness = inevitability
Flow + focus = unstoppable

Sun Tzu said it best:

Match mindset:

2. Decide how you want the match to go. Control the pace, the space, the energy.
3. Be unreadable. Strike decisively. Hesitation is your enemy.

I’m so incredibly proud of my son, Monty. He’s putting in the effort to pursue his dreams with hard work, discipline, and determination. What makes him even more remarkable is that he’s not just focused on himself—he’s helpful, kind, and truly grateful, which makes him such a joy to be around. Watching him grow reminds me of myself, but a newer, better version, and it’s honestly amazing to see. Love this dude ❤️

Proud doesn’t even cover it. My student Jay opened All Day MMA in Caterham and now is teaching and grading his own students this is truly amazing. It’s a reminder that hard work and belief can change lives. The journey continues a super huge well done, my brother. Oss
