It's a hot one! ☀️The HerMove team are up at this afternoon as one of the Mayors charities and raising awareness of our FREE events for women and girls within the local community.

The evening's theme, 'The Power of Storytelling for Business Success', resonated strongly with us. HerMove's story began with a conversation and connections made at an EGBA networking event just over a year ago.

Those early conversations have since grown into a movement dedicated to creating opportunities for women and girls through sport, community and connection.

⚽️As part of the evening, the HerMove team, alongside students from Sackville School Sixth Form, showcased their football skills ahead of the Mayor's Cup this October.

We are currently seeking sponsors to support the team.

A huge thank you to the organisers for bringing together local businesses and demonstrating once again how powerful a single conversation can be.

Celebrating Volunteers’ Week 1 - 7 June 💜

Did you know that HerMove is run entirely by volunteers?

During Volunteers’ Week, we’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the team Alyson, Karen, Morgan and Louise, and John Belsey and Stephanie for their time, dedication, and generosity. Behind the scenes, they help create opportunities for girls and women in our local community to connect, grow, and support one another.

Being part of HerMove has been incredibly rewarding. We’ve met inspiring women, built meaningful connections, and become part of a community that genuinely wants to see others succeed.

This Volunteers’ Week, we’d also like to thank every volunteer who gives their time, skills, and energy to make a difference. HerMove simply wouldn’t exist without them.

We are proud to play a small part in something so special.

⚽ Girls’ football is growing - and last Friday in Mid Sussex it was on full display!

13 schools came along this morning to East Grinstead Sports Club bringing over 120 girls to play football. The event was organised by Mid Sussex Active and supported by Chelsea, Crawley Town Foundation and East Grinstead Meads. An amazing morning of football. The following quote from a teacher says it all:

Am loving the opportunities for girls that are arising in football and these events make all the difference - girls are now seeing that football is for them!

I overheard one girl from my school respond to a parent who asked if she liked it - "I didn't like it! I loved it!" (She has never played football before btw)
