East Grinstead Athletics Club

Last weekend saw the Sussex County Champs take place at K2 Crawley. The club picked up three medals, two of which came from Georgia Banham. Her first came in the 400m hurdles a new event for her. The following day taking 2nd place in the 100m. Both times were PB's. Zofia Gryczewska took the bronze in the shot put with a personal best throw. There were plenty of other PB's over the weekend, so congratulations to everyone who took part.

Last night we held our end of season awards and social at the rugby club.
It was a great evening with lots of fun and games. Congratulations to all our winners. It's been another great season with some tremendous performances.
Autumn/winter training is underway and we're already looking forward to next season.

It was a glorious day at East Court yesterday for the annual primary schools cross country races. Congratulations to all our individual winners and the winning teams. Well done to everyone who took part you were all amazing and you're all winners. Many thanks to all our helpers, without you we couldn't run these races. Thanks to our Mayor John Belsey who presented the awards.
We'll see you all again next year.

Congratulations to Lester Medcalf who tonight was presented with the Unsung Hero award for his contribution to East Grinstead Athletics Club. It's a fantastic award and so well deserved. Many thanks to the Mayor, John Belsey for his hospitality and presenting the award. We're extremely lucky to have Lester at our club and we're extremely proud that he has received this award.
