After hearing his dad had scored big, Ben clearly decided he had to put on a show of his own with a brilliant 90 from 72 balls for the 1st XI yesterday 👏

His innings included 6 fours and 4 sixes and was another superb knock in what has been a seriously impressive season. Add in 28 runs from Ben Vale and 28 from Luke Taylor, and the 1s gave it a real go right to the end. 💙💛

A shame not to see Ben reach a deserved hundred, but a fantastic innings all the same and definitely one worth celebrating.

🏏 Match Heroes – 3rd XI 🏏

What a way to finish the league season for Woody and James Green! 👏

Woody produced a superb 106 from 110 balls, including 13 fours and 4 sixes, while James added a brilliant 75 from just 38 balls, with 10 fours and 4 sixes.

Their two innings played a huge part in helping the 3rd XI post 271 and go on to secure a 38-run win over Lingfield CC — a result that also ensured the 3s finished the season safely in their division. 💙💛

Two fantastic performances, one very happy photo and a brilliant way to sign off the league campaign.

🏏 Final League Results – 2026 🏏

And just like that, the 2026 Sussex Cricket League season is complete. 💙💛

The 1st XI finished with a hard-fought defeat to Haywards Heath CC, but did enough across the season to secure their place in the division for 2027. A huge mention to Ben Green, who signed off with an excellent 90, while Ben Vale, Rhodri Lewis and Neil Divall all picked up two wickets.

The 2nd XI had a difficult final afternoon against Keymer & Hassocks CC. Despite contributions from Henry Groves (44) and Gabe Nix (32), the result means the 2s will unfortunately be relegated. A tough ending, but plenty of effort and commitment shown throughout the season.

The 3rd XI ended on a high with a brilliant 38-run victory over Lingfield CC. Woody Rogers produced a superb 106, supported by James Green (75), before Bryce Van Straaten (3-37), Curtis Philp (2-26) and Charlie Parnell (2-39) helped complete the win and secure the 3s’ place for next season.

A huge thank you to every player, captain, scorer, umpire, volunteer, supporter and family member who has played a part in getting our teams onto the field this summer.

There have been highs, lows, close finishes, standout performances and plenty of young players stepping up along the way.

🏏 One Last Saturday. One Last Push. 🏏

After a long summer of league cricket, tomorrow sees our 1st, 2nd and 3rd XIs take to the field for their final Sussex Cricket League matches of the 2026 season. 💙💛

The 1st XI travel to Haywards Heath Cricket Club 🟢🟡 the 2nd XI welcome Keymer & Hassocks CC to Chartham Ground, while the 3rd XI head to Lingfield Cricket Club

It’s been a season full of close games, standout performances, young players stepping up, experienced heads delivering when needed, and plenty of moments that have shown what this club is all about.

So for one final league Saturday…

🌧️ Saturday Cricket – Weather Wins! 🌧️

Unfortunately, there’ll be no Saturday cricket for F&SCC today, with all three league fixtures cancelled due to the weather.

Not quite how we hoped to spend the penultimate Saturday of the league season!

Fingers crossed for much better weather next weekend as our 1st, 2nd and 3rd XIs play their final league matches of 2026. 🤞🏏💙💛
