Celebrate the Sacred Festival of Samhain
**The white stag is considered to be a sacred being,
often appearing during a troubled time. It is never to be caught,
but rather must be allowed to run wild and free. **
‘The Journey’ tells the story of my encounter with a white elk and the visions he inspired. His domestic captivity did not diminish him. He shone like a beacon on a distant hill, and then walked directly to me as if he knew me. Immediately I knew he was more than he seemed.
His presence radiated a sacredness that transcended his earthly form. As I captured his portrait in delicate pastel strokes, I was transported to another realm, where visions and dreams intertwined with my art. My hand seemed to move on its own, revealing hidden secrets of this mystical being. As I delved deeper, I realized that this elk, this guardian, was accompanied by guides of a lion, a shaman, and a unicorn. As if whispering through the layers of his soft hair, another lion, a swan, and a horse spirit also appeared. ‘The Journey’ is more than a painting; it's intended to evoke the presence of the being that holds the ancient secrets of the earth in his gentle yet powerful presence.
This painting is one of the few I've created in which the horse is not the main subject. Please let me know how you like it.

Don't hurt yourself by trying to get those without ears to hear.”

You can't split your connection—horses and people know when you're truly present.
What we often think of as “multitasking” is actually rapid “connection switching.”
In the Equimotional space, whether working with horses or people, shifting your attention too quickly can leave both beings feeling unseen.
Constantly moving between tasks creates emotional fatigue and stops us from making those deep, meaningful connections we crave. Healing and growth happen when we slow down, hold space, and stay present, allowing trust and transformation to flourish.

Grief is so much bigger than crying and feeling sad.
Grief impacts people emotionally, physically, and mentally. It's one of the hardest and most exhausting things anyone will do.
It's messy, unpredictable, and there's nothing simple about grieving a devastating loss.
Yet, we live in a world that expects people to get over it quickly and move on. People are expected to paint a fake smile on behind the tears and act like they are just fine far too soon.
Because that's what society needs them to do.
But that's not fair and it's not how grief works. If the loss is big enough, it can literally feel like your mind, body, and heart are being attacked over and over again.
Grief is relentless for a while. It can feel as if it has taken over and consuming every part of you. It's hard to concentrate on much of anything except for the loss and the grief you now carry.
Still, we live in a world that's so uncomfortable with loss and grief, grievers are pushed to fit back in and return to a normal that no longer exists. Grievers are expected to be okay and pretend all is good even though their lives have turned upside down.
Please don't fold under the pressures of a world that doesn't always get it or understand just how difficult the journey of grief is.
What has been asked of you is painful and it's a long road after a heartbreaking loss.
It's so important to take care of YOU and to tend to your mind, body, and heart. It's important to own your grief and to share your feelings and get it all out.
Stuffing and hiding the pain only delays healing and it will stand in the way of you moving forward in life.
Grieving isn't wrong. It's a human right and it's something every single human will experience.
You get to grieve. You get to feel. You get to take care of yourself and tend to your wounds.
I know it can be lonely and especially if you feel like no one understands. But please know you and your grief are safe here. You don't have to pretend and you can share anything without fear of being judged.
Your grief matters and I care deeply about you and your heart.
