It’s time for our last lottery draw of the cricket club’s financial year, and we’d love to finish the year with a bang! 💥

Thanks to everyone who has supported the lottery throughout the year, we’re currently sitting at an amazing £1,695 profit for the club! 👏🏼

That money goes directly towards supporting Cam Cricket Club, helping us continue to provide and improve opportunities for our players and members. 🏏

Following the conclusion of the 2026 season, Adam Holloway and Marlene Brown will be stepping down from their respective roles as 2nd and 3rd Team Captains.

We would like to place on record our huge thanks to both Adam and Marlene for all their hard work, commitment and dedication in leading their sides over the past few seasons.

Adam’s time as 2nd Team Captain included the fantastic achievement of being crowned Division 7 Champions three seasons ago. He has also been a strong supporter of the club’s youth philosophy, giving several younger players the opportunity to step up and play at a higher standard.

Marlene has undoubtedly had one of the toughest roles at the club, balancing her commitments with the Ladies section alongside leading the 3rd XI, particularly when player availability has been challenging.

She has also continued to embrace the club’s youth philosophy, giving several youth team members the opportunity to play Saturday cricket, while introducing members of the Ladies section to Saturday 40-over cricket.

A huge thank you to both Adam and Marlene for everything they have done for their respective teams and for Cam Cricket Club. We wish Adam all the very best and look forward to seeing Marlene continue her excellent work within the Ladies section. 👏🏏💛🖤🐸

Join us on Saturday 3rd October at Stinchcombe Golf Course for our Cam Cricket Club Presentation Evening, celebrating the achievements of our Senior Men’s and Ladies teams throughout the season.

Well, the weather may have cancelled the cricket, but there was absolutely no chance it was cancelling the party! 😂

Despite having no cricket on Saturday, we still managed to pull off a cracking Caribbean Evening with reggae, rum, good company, the live Sixes team draw and, of course, our bumper lottery draw. 🇯🇲🍹🎶

Then Sunday saw the return of our Annual Sixes Tournament, with The Aki AllStars somehow managing to come out on top and lift the trophy! 🏆🏏

There were also a few individual awards handed out… some more deserved than others! 😂

A brilliant weekend of reggae, rum, cricket, questionable decisions and plenty of laughs — pretty much the perfect way to bring the 2026 season to a close! 🍹😂

A huge shout out to everyone who came along, supported the club and helped make the weekend happen. It genuinely makes a massive difference to the club and is hugely appreciated. To those who made the weekend happen, from the bbq and bar to our umpires. You all know who you are!! Thank you👊🐸

Unfortunately, the Great British Summer has decided to make an appearance this Saturday, with plenty of rain forecast, so we’ve had to cancel our food vendor. 😭🍗

But fear not… we’re not letting a bit of rain stop the party! 🍹🎶

We’re still planning to celebrate the last league games of the season together at The Shed, with:

🍹 Rum – because apparently rain tastes better with rum
🎶 Reggae & Soul – something to keep us warm
🎟️ Club Lottery – someone’s got to pay for all this rum!
🏏 Sixes Competition – Live Teams Draw
🍻 Good company, questionable dancing and plenty of laughs!

The 1st XI entertain Dumbleton CC at The Shed, the 2nd XI are on the road to Painswick CC, while the 3rd XI take on Uley CC at Stone.
