Thought we'd share some of the cool stuff we've done this year alongside plenty of walking in the hills! So excited for more fun next term! ⛰️🌟

The photo of the week for Coniston (20th June) was taken by Shaoding D**g after summiting the Old Man of Coniston.

"Different routes eventually catching up with each other above Coniston."

It would be lovely to see everyone for the final time this Thursday, do come to the SardDUnes social!

There were so many gorgeous pictures taken in Scotland, but these are my three favourites!

The first one was taken by Eve Handley near Loch Avon. "After reigning in the rebellion to Ben Macdu-it, we compensated by checking out Loch Avon. Battling rain and wind to reach the supposed loch location, we found only mist obscuring any views. However the duhws gods answered our prayers: the rain stopped and the mist quickly lifted within minutes to reveal the breathtaking loch before our eyes making it worth the extra miles after all."

The second was taken by Sammy Reeves on the way to Linn of Dee.
"Looking back across Glen Lui as gathering clouds threaten to rain on the exhausted hillwalkers."

The third was taken by Vis Ravindran near Creag Leacach.
"As we masterfully evaded the rain clouds for the day, we admire the view as far as the eye can see before continuing high in spirits back to the hostel."

Details for the next local walk on Saturday 🌿 No membership or sign up required so bring your friends at 10am in Durham town centre, and if you can't make it there'll be a wide games social afterwards. Hope exams are going well! 🌟
