Summer of Sport at Cowal 🏌️♀️🏑
We were delighted to host our part of the Summer of Sport partnership between Scottish Golf and the Camanachd Association at Cowal Golf Club.
We had 18 children up for a golf camp and they got stuck into putting, chipping and hitting irons. Great to see so many young faces giving it a go and having fun on the course.
A big thank you to Club Captain Liam O’Loughlin, Match & Handicap Secretary John Cairns, and Andy Holland from Innellan Golf Club for putting the day on for the children.
And thanks to The Sweet Spot Dunoon for providing lunch for the kids before they headed off to Shinty Camp 👏
A fantastic day showcasing two great Scottish sports. Well done to everyone involved!

We're inviting young people aged 8–13 to experience two fantastic sports this summer – golf and shinty. Whether they're completely new to both sports or have played before, this is a brilliant opportunity to learn new skills, have fun and make new friends.
Inspired by golfers such as Bob MacIntyre, who grew up playing both golf and shinty, Scottish Golf and the Camanachd Association are delighted to be working in partnership, with support from sportscotland, to deliver free summer camps.

We are particularly keen to welcome girls, as well as young people who may face barriers to participating in sport, including those who are less physically active or for where the cost of organised sport can be a challenge.
