🏆 DCC 2ND XI — JUNIOR LEAGUE 6 CHAMPIONS! 🏆

What a season it has been for Dunmurry 2nd XI.

The 2s finish their Junior League 6 campaign as CHAMPIONS, winning an outstanding 13 of their 14 league matches and securing promotion to Junior League 5. ⬆️

Their only defeat of the entire league season came against Armagh 3 on 1 August — and even that could hardly have been closer. Dunmurry posted 197/7 from 25 overs, with Armagh reaching 198/6 in 24.3 overs to win by four wickets.

That proved to be the only blemish on an otherwise remarkable league campaign.

There were outstanding individual contributions throughout the season too. Babli Parab led the run-scoring with 425 runs from 10 innings, averaging 53.13, including that unforgettable 157*. With the ball, Jagadeesh Bantrotu led the way with 22 wickets at 12.77, including superb best figures of 5/8. 👏🔥

But above all, this was a team achievement — 35 players represented DCC 2 across all competitions during the season, with contributions coming from throughout the club.

And perhaps the best part?

Back-to-back promotions. ⬆️⬆️

Two seasons. Two promotions. From Junior League 7 to Junior League 6, and now onward to Junior League 5.

A tremendous achievement for everyone involved.

A special congratulations must also go to our captain Raj for leading the side through such a remarkable campaign and securing back-to-back promotions. 👏🏆

Of course, this was a collective achievement, with contributions coming from throughout the squad and the wider club.

🏏 A VERY SPECIAL INNINGS FROM BABLI PARAB

A belated shoutout, but an innings like this deserves its moment. 👏

Against Dundrum 2 in Junior League 7 on 16 August, Babli opened the batting for Dunmurry and was still there at the end, finishing on an outstanding 157 not out from just 83 deliveries.

His innings featured 18 fours and 7 sixes, as Dunmurry amassed a remarkable 242/1 from 22 overs.

MW Cup Winners 2026 🎉 🏏 👑

Gunjan re-written the records of MW Cup by winning two successive years for Dunmurry CC.

A great achievement for the club 👏

3 Players from last season, 8 new Players - Everyone responsible and contributed towards common goal of retaining the mid-week cup and we did it 💪

We stay humble off-field, be competitive on-field.

What an incredible achievement from this group of players. Their commitment, resilience, and teamwork have once again brought the Midweek League title back to Dunmurry.

🏏 A Perfect Weekend for Dunmurry Cricket Club! 💙

What a weekend it has been for the club!

All four teams secured victories, making it a clean sweep and a fantastic achievement for everyone involved. Congratulations to all of our players, captains, and supporters on a brilliant weekend of cricket.

🏆 1st XI
A superb run chase saw the 1st XI overhaul 243 against BISC 1st XI, winning by 6 wickets. Bilal Farooq led the chase with a brilliant 78 off 65 balls (11 fours, 1 six), while Bhavesh Griglani starred with the ball, taking 2 wickets for 31 runs from his 8 overs, including 2 maidens.

🏆 2nd XI
The 2nd XI comfortably chased 71 against Drumaness Super Kings Cricket Club Drumaness Superkings 2nd XI, securing a 7-wicket victory. Jagadeesh Bantrotu produced an economical spell of **2 for 7 from 3 overs, while Gunjan Deshmukh contributed a valuable 22 off 17 balls (2 fours, 1 six).

🏆 3rd XI
Another excellent chase saw the 3rd XI reach 155 against CI 4th XI, winning by 4 wickets. Muralitharan Vimalenthiran enjoyed an outstanding all-round performance, claiming 3 wickets for 23 runs and then smashing 69 off just 41 balls, including 10 fours and 3 sixes.

🏆 4th XI
The 4th XI completed the clean sweep by chasing 159 against Muckamore 5th XI, winning by 4 wickets. Ajit Uchale made a match-winning all-round contribution, taking 3 wickets for 25 runs before scoring a quick-fire 27 off 21 balls, including 6 boundaries.

An outstanding weekend for the club and one that reflects the hard work and commitment across every team.
