This weekend, we enjoyed a highly competitive match against our local friends and rivals, Bathgate Thistle Whites.

The game certainly lived up to the hype, with plenty of energy, passion and quality football on display from both sides. It was a great contest, played in the right spirit, with both teams battling hard from start to finish.

Another strong performance from the boys saw us secure all three points, while also recording back-to-back clean sheets. A fantastic effort from all the boys👏

What a weekend of football in Newcastle.

The boys played their socks off across seven competitive matches. They worked hard for one another, played as the brilliant team they are, and didn’t let the torrential downpours get in the way of giving it their all.

🖤 We are incredibly proud of their work ethic, attitude and commitment against fantastic opposition. Well done to all the participating teams, and thank you to Newcastle International Summer Cup for putting on such a brilliant weekend of football.

We might not be bringing home silverware this time round, but that’s not what it’s about. More important than results was the time the boys spent together off the pitch – team dinners, bowling, pool, darts, walks along the Quayside, and plenty of ice cream! It’s all those moments that make a team a team, and they should be hugely proud of everything they achieved together.

➡️ Next up is a series of friendlies, starting this Wednesday, 29 July, as we take on Falkirk ahead of our league campaign beginning next month.

Day 1 of Bathgate Thistles Blacks 2013s on tour in Newcastle!

In preparation for a weekend of football at the Newcastle International Summer Cup, the boys enjoyed a top class coaching session from professional Sunderland coaches.

Afterwards, we took a trip to St. James’ Park and their huge club shop!

This weekend the team is making their way to Newcastle for what’s set to be a fantastic weekend of football at the Newcastle International Summer Cup.

With opposition teams from America, Ireland, England and Scotland, the boys are raring to go!

First stop is Sunderland’s Beacon of Light grounds for a training session with Sunderland professional coaches.
