Congratulations to Alfie McAusland for being chosen as one of the Scottish Wildcats (pack of 22) to represent Scotland at the UK School Games 2026 on September 4 and 5 at Loughborough

The School Games National Finals is a biennial multi-sport event for the UK’s school-age athletes, organised by the Youth Sport Trust and funded by Sport England.

A very special young lady, Kerys Ballard, gave the key note speech at our 10 year party. She speaks for so many young people with a disability. It melts the ❤️.
“ Firstly, I just want to say congratulations on reaching 10 years at Pitreavie Framerunning # # club. That’s an incredible milestone, and it’s something everyone here should be really proud of.

When I first came along, I never imagined just how much this sport would come to mean to me. At first, it was simply something to do. But over time, it became so much more than that. It’s been incredible to watch the club grow over the years. I still remember when we first started with only a few bikes, and now seeing how many people have had the chance to get involved is really special.

It gave me confidence when I didn’t have much. It gave me something to look forward to every week. It gave me opportunities to challenge myself, make memories, and meet some truly amazing people. It has also helped my physical health improving my mobility and strength which has made a massive difference to my life. And I’m aware of how this has been the case for other athletes too.

Living with a disability can sometimes make you feel like certain doors are closed, but this club has never made me feel limited. Instead, it’s encouraged me to focus on what I can do, not what I can’t. That has made a huge difference in my life.

I also want to say a massive thank you to all of the volunteers started this club and made it into what it is today. You give up your evenings, weekends, and free time because you genuinely care about the people here. You probably don’t always realise the impact you have, but it goes far beyond coaching or organising sessions.

You’ve created a place where people feel welcomed, supported, and included. A place where friendships are made, confidence grows, and everyone is given the chance to succeed in their own way.

To everyone who’s helped make this club what it is over the last 10 years whether you’ve been here since the beginning or joined more recently thank you. You’ve changed lives, including mine.

I’m incredibly grateful to be part of this community, and I know I’m not the only one who feels that way.

Here’s to everything that’s been achieved over the last decade, and to many more years of helping people discover what they’re capable of.

Thank you.”

Pitreavie FrameRunning club is 10 years old and we celebrated it in style last night with an afternoon tea. It was attended by 70 people- athletes/parents/volunteers past and present. We even had Annette fly in from Ireland! We had food galore, our own resident DJ Ben Miller( athlete 2016-2019), great games and quizzes and lots of photos of memories past. It was an evening of making memories. 🥂🏅to the next 10 years of a sport that binds people together ❤️
